I sort by price, but I don't really like Xstreet. It is much better than shopping inworld, but I don't like it as much as I liked onrez.
I would like to see something more like the RL web sites of most retail stores. For example, with most retailers I can use the side navigation to select:
Women/ Intimates/Bras/Strapless
and then see a collection of strapless bras. Same for any other item. For example, Women/Suits/Pants Suits or Women/Dresses/Sleeveless.
Actually, now I make my own SL clothes.

what's the main reason for hating the other? they're both the same principle as i understood.. (never actually used onrez, but visited the site a few times as guest)
was it the design? was it the internal workings? etc etc..

was it the design? was it the internal workings? etc etc.. Design (I can't stand to be on XstreetSL for very long before I have to flee it), search results. OnRez wasn't perfect and sometimes lead me on a merry chase, but it seemed a better design with more reliable search results (though some had no clue how to tag their stuff so a pair of shoes would end up in prefabs because they tagged it prefab or something).
