I have looked through many baby clinics but don't find any to my liking ...

What are your experiences with baby clinics in SL?

What is the best one in your opinion?

Where should I have my SL baby?

Discuss here!

You and the baby are going to be homeless? Where is the baby daddy? He should be putting a roof over your head.

Then you are irresponsible to even consider having a child - I am calling Child Social Services right now.

LOL .. You guys are funny.

Well, I don't have a "baby daddy" because thanks to the wonders of SL, I can have a baby all on my own.

That's how I would prefer it to be done.

Is this really fair on the child ?

Maybe you should just get a prim puppy much the same care is needed or why not buy a Tamagotch. They are just the same as many of the "babies " you can get in SL and the rest of us dont have to put up with the silly chat spam these thing do

This, of course, is the next logical step. The invention of the dildo (sometime probably in the 16th century; there are some wonderful 17th-century poems on the subject . . .) liberated women from the need for the male member as a stimulus for sexual pleasure. And now, at last, through SL, we can eliminate the need for the penis for reproduction. Indeed, more than this, we do not even require male semen.

Speaking personally, I actually LIKE the male member, and would value the companionship and assistance that a "father" would provide in bringing up a child.

Nonetheless, Grape, I applaud your brave step forward here.

I'll put out a picnic table on our beach. Just come by whenever you're ready and pop the li'l sucker out.

Oh wait...I guess that'd be Adult Content. Sorry, maybe somebody in Zindra can help you. I hear there are lots and lots of beds there...

ew.

I think Grape plans on frying up the placenta afterwards, as part of a sort of celebratory "motherhood" feast . . .

Do you want an invite? ;)

A few months ago a friend of mine was invited to see her sister give birth. I told her not to. But she was insistent on going.
Anyway, she said it was the most off-putting experience (I am being polite here) she could have imagined. I also read that men are often put off sexual attraction by seeing their wives/girlfriends/partners give birth. If it was me having the baby I would demand novacaine, ether, laudanum and aspirin. Also no one else but the doc and a few healthy nurses. Wake me up when its over.

Actually, it's really just Parliamentary language . . .

Yeah, I admit, it's not exactly my thing either. But when my sister gave birth to her last daughter, the attending nurse offered to refrigerate the placenta for her, in case she wanted to take it home. It's apparently not all THAT uncommon . . .

Oh, *that* 'Member'. Well he wasn't part of the original question/situation here so I did not think of him. Actually, the other 'member' wasn't part of it either..... :p

Now this is getting really bizarre. That is really a ten on the scale. I would rather shoot myself in the eyeball than eat ice cream that's been in the freezer with a placenta.

Many cultures eat the placenta, make a party of it. It's chock full of vitamins! I wouldn't share in that, but why pass up perfectly good ice cream?
