i had a prophetic dream last night telling me to start a sex cult inside Second Life. Is this outside ToS and if not, do you have any ideas about starting one that i can rip off?

should i just pronounce myself God or what? any ideas?

oki well mate i will explain you a few things about Gor as you seems to be completly out of the matter.

Gor is a series of books wrote by John Norman. it is not a sex cult at all. it is a world with rules and social system. the fact many kids in SL mistake it with a capture and rape game should not make you believe it is just a sex cult where people have sex all the time as a religion. Gorean people live in a lifestyle that maybe you dont like or agree with but you were more than insulting to those people with your remarque.

no not necessarly. thats just kids game and not in all gorean sims. anyway if you go like that you have loads of non gorean sims that goes this kind of game, CARP, COLA, NOR, TOXIA and more. it is just people playing as if they were at war and either killing or having sex with their prey.

gorean and by this i mean real gorean sims such as koroba glorious ar and some others are real RP sim. the number of capture and sold as sex slaves is close to zero in fact. besside you would not necessarly be sold you coudl also be killed if you are found without interrest.

i suggest you first read the books before talking of gor as a sex game because it is far from being one. slaves dont only fuck, they also rp cooking, dancing chatting and all. not like the non gorean sims where sex is present. so well you are just putting on the gorean sims the image of others rp sims and you do wrong.

Everyone who has been here any length of time knows all about Gor in SL There have been enough threads. Even the Goreans themselves can't agree as there are variations in it's portrayals in SL. It was a Joke. Lighten Up, Francis.

well we will more say that in SL most the people who call themselves gorean never read the books in fact. i did read them i have found gor out of SL and came to SL after and honnestly to have people call me member of a sex cult well i find it insulting.

what would you say if you are playing demon role play on COLA or NOR and i was telling you are just a sex cult. means you only do sex.

After book 5, Assassin of Gor, it get's pretty bogged down with pages long paragraphs of his philosophical dogma about how a women is not a woman unless she is a sex slave to a man. He has written other books not in gor but about his sexual views entirely. People who follow hios views are often called Norminites and are the very deffinition of a sexual cult. Not a religious cult, by the way, just a sexual cult. I have know some people in RL who think John Norman is the prophet. I find the whole thing very distasteful.

I believe John Norman is bar none the the biggest chauvinistic bigot of our time. I am shocked to learn that it exists here since gor can be seen as little more than a hate group dedicated to the subjugation of women. Azumi, be happy with the title of sex cult because it could be much worse.

I think it was meant in jest Azumi. Please don't get all annoyed at it. Many people on here know about Gor, and there are many different opinions on it. There is a gor thread on here about twice a week or so.

Why has this thread turned Gor anyway? I thought it was about Swan delaring themself a sex God/Prophet?

Gor probably isn't well organized enough to be a sex cult.

And the Online stuff is more of a Role Playing theme, not a sex cult.

The news and the police will call the small groups of RL Goreans (or related) that have gone over the edge members of a sex cult though.

The entire concept lacks a religious aspect I would think cult implies?

- I don't even think most "RL" goreans beleive in the priest kings, and they are largely ignored in SL role play.

Anyhow .. Theres nothing stopping you Swan from starting a sex cult, as long as you don't break the Sexual Age Play rules and Content zoning rules (which will be achanging soon)

I had started a "Cult" called the Cult of the Cyan Magic Marker.

We worship our god a steam punk magic marker filled with powers of the creative Cyan (The color) In it we have warriors that Blast small babies with powerful blasts of Cyan creative power, so they grow up to be a great artist.

In the group description I have it so outrageous, if someone took it the least bit serious they themself need "Help". There is a disclaimer as to not take it seriously too

But really the group is just used for fun with close friends, we really do not shoot babies with stuff.

Oh and GOR is not a Sex Cult, I have been in Second life long enough to hear all the hearsay, plus seen some of the sims, kinda cool in its own right.

cults can be religious or social it simply defines practises and or beliefs out of mainstream society so by definition Gor is a cult based on male domination of women ...not my cup of tea if I want a pet I'd buy a puppy.Sexes equality is far more challenging and fun but to each their own

Personally, I would stay away from the term God, so as not to accidently attract folks who are in search of a real one. Plus, "God" does not invoke the sort of blindingly erotic haze which is necessary in your new line of work.
