Just curious as to the state of shoes and hair in SL. What shoe are you wearing right this moment in SL? Sculpted or non-sculpted? How about your hair? Sculpted or non-sculpted? Ghosty you don't need to answer this.

Right now I'm wearing sculpted shoe. I made it using a full perm sculpted shoe base. Hair is sculpted too.

Sculpted shoes (from Tesla) - Prim Flexi Hair from Gurl6 (or possibly Bewitched)

I have never seen sculptie hair... anyone got a link?

I wear non sculted shoes and non sculpted hair. I'd wear em, but (a) my hair is kinda one I've used now for, oh, two years,an is jes "me." and (b) no one has made any sculpted shoes to fit kid avvies.

Just in case you want a male POV. I don't own any sculpty shoes or hair, but then again I have not looked for much more than the two pair of boots I have.

Yes. =^-^=

....

I'm pretty open to wearing just about anything... Most of my shoes are built, but I do have a set of sculptie pumps, flats, and boots I found once. And with hair it's the same story. I think I only have 1 or 2 sculptie hairs and I didn't really even know until I cleared cache one day and the sculpts took a while to load. (^_^)

In the end, as long as it looks good to me... I don't care how it's made... I'll wear it. (^_^)y

I can point you to some nice freebie formal sculptie shoes that look really great and have mod permissions so you can resize them to what ever you like. And, they're all pretty flat. So no invisiprimmed snow skis. =^-^=

I have an issue with sculpties - they occasionally don't show up, or you get that bubble affect until they rez. I hate both, so I try NOT to buy sculpted shoes and hair.

Seconding Imogen- was unaware of sculpted hair - not sure if I have sculpted shoes or not at all- I have some with actual little toes- might those be sculpted?

Do you mean literally right now? If so, none, I'm not inworld. generally speaking, i wear both I guess, I have stuff from before sculpties came out that I still wear, but to be truthful I really don't know what the difference is, and don't think about it when getting dressed.

I have a few pair of sculpty shoes from Tesla and Armidi.....they are pretty cool and 99% of the time loading is a non-issue. I don't think I have any sculpted hair tho......I like the prim/flexi styles from Gurl6 or Armidi or Sirena, to name a few. But....I tend to buy stuff for occasions....photo ideas.....so I'll use whatever works best for the theme. :D

Of course *sniffle* I'm still locked out of SL until I get my new graphics card in....which hopefully will arrive today or tomorrow....hope hope hopefully~!!

Either for both. Style and appearance matter more to me than sculpty vs. prim.

For shoes, almost exclusively sculpted. Most all of my prim shoes were retired once I started buying good sculpted shoes.

Hair, I haven't bought any in awhile, so what I have is all prim, but I have tried on some great demos that I am pretty sure combine sculpted bangs with traditional prims for the rest. I wouldn't rule that out the next time I was buying hair.

Sculpted shoes, standard prim hair.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Not a big fan of wearing sculpties,
the lag blob booger effect is *gah* except as small accents
and not in love w/ sculptie hair even w/ a mix of flexie, have some sculptie shoes.
So mostly still reg prims, something has to be really fab in sculpties for me to buy/wear it.

I love my sculpty shoes and boots so much that it's hard for me to wear anything else. I have a feeling that after a bit, pretty much all the shoes will be sculpty. They just look so good, so real wooooo

For my hair, I don't like sculpty, too stiff for me :)

I have a fair amount of both but I find prim shoes to be much more reliable and dependable. I wonder what everyone's choice would be if they were asked would they still wear them if they knew that for a good percentage of the resident's in SL sculpty shoes never rez depending on where they are on the grid.

Sculpty shoes are really pretty but what good are pretty shoes if sometimes they never rez and come across to a good portion of the population as glob balls on our feet? I was with a group of friends once and I felt so embarrassed when after bout 30 minutes of chatting one guy asked me if the balls on my feet were a new shoe style. :o

A combination of sculptie and non. Hair is mixed, though the shoes aren't.

Basically, I don't think about it. I just wear whatever looks good on my avatar.

True. I guess it depends on how powerful a resident's computer is. The better the computer the less of a problem it is.

I don't care for sculptie hair either. For some reason, I think the longer styles look like a Sasquatch has settled on your shoulders, and that's just not natural, not even in SL. As a result, I exclusively wear hair from Tami McCoy. Its got just enough flex to have movement, but not enough to look like a swirling shroud around my shoulders. I wear both sculpture and non sculpture shoes. I have some sandals and boots from Armidi that are pretty cute, and I have my standard non sculpture from Shiny Things and SF Designs that I am always digging on.

I consider sculpted hair as being in the same catagory as prim hair that has little or no flexi in it... great for photographs and static modeling, but not much else. Other than a short hair style, then for me it has to be flexi. For shoes and boots I wear both, but I think the ones I logged out wearing are all prim.

Another guy's perspective. Currently wearing prim boots (unusual for me; almost all my boots and shoes are entirely sculpted) from Sinistyle, and a sculpt/prim mix hair from eXceSs. The only reason I know the hair is part-sculpted is because when I first log onto SL, there's often a small 'pre-rezzed' sculpted sphere on the top of my head for a second or two. I'm pretty certain that's what holds the resizing scripts. It's such gorgeous hair, though, I don't care what it is!
