Not to mention if someone figured out how to add a server to the grid , so securely that LL cant do anything about it.

They wouldnt need a casino.

LL would probably hire them to figure out the open source issues.

But even if they didnt - they could sell Pirate Sim Grid connection ability for big $$$.

It is a private server that was hacked so it would join the grid. LL has been trying to rid the grid of this sim since early 2007. Part of the reasons for the casino bans was to try and make is so that this sim would leave on its own. They felt that they could make it not worth the effort to actually stay on the grid. So far, they are failing, but in the end it might just work. If not, the color purple is the next thing that will be banned.

ROFL!! What a FAB piece of FUD!

SL is not a true grid, it is a client/server application.

I would love to know how this casino/server could function without access to the shared servers providing the services that make SL, SL. (e.g. the notorious asset server). LL undoubtedly has firewalled access to these shared servers. Denying access to this casino's server would be trivial.

And as for LL employees, or mysterious LL FIC making money this way, their time and energies would be better spent building LL's valuation, so that the stock options they undoubtedly own become worth a bundle. I'm sure they all know that.

I think it's time to invent a new acronym. The SL "DOH" -- Disgruntled Outer Hinterlands
