Well I had a great doozy of a funny one happen this weekend, and I still laugh about it.
I was involved in a fox hunt at Skybeam, part of their third birthday weekend celebration. Two avatars in fox avatars, the rest of us on horses chasing them. First one to cage each of the two foxes (with of course provided freebie cagers that a lot of griefing idiots used to use regularly, I don't know if they still do). First fox got caught in under 10 minutes. Second one led me on a merry chase for a good half an hour, the chase in itself was hilarious, but the ending was priceless. After many attempts to cage her I finally had her cornered and I just knew I had her. I fired off another cage and I was so sure I was going to get her, only I must have failed to account for my forward motion or something. I caged nobody but myself and she got away laughing so hard she was crying while I had to delete the cage and try to find her again. Somebody else got her instead and won the prize, but I at least got a gilded cage as a consolation prize. |

I was doing my social action group thing for young women on Saturday morning.
I drove a jeep on some rocky icy roads for fun and ended up in teh middle of nowhere on Saturday afternoon and evening. I had sl sex with a pick-up guy in London which was a cool way to self-orgasm on Sunday morning. I worked really really hard rehearsing for a BIG thingie during the coming week. I worked out with my trainer at the gym. I had a massage on Sunday night. I drank only 9 cups of coffee all weekend. _____________________

I was sick all weekend.
On the bright side, I managed to get my school project done despite being sick. |

Drove around town doing errands, cut my dogs' toenails with a Pedipaw - yes it really works - drove around doing more errands, went to Sushi-Go-Round on Saturday and a Mexican restaurant on Sunday, and watched some decent movies on TV. (aka "It's raining all weekend; let's not do anything too ambitious."

Simple pleasures here. Finished my mother's Christmas shopping, yay! In the course of this, discovered that the sushi at the local mall's food court actually isn't bad. And, got a full night's sleep last night for the first time in a long while. *yawn* *purr*
In SL, sailed around Caledon and Winterfell with my dear one, and explored Brigadoon. Resisted buying myself a moustache, though the shop makes a persuasive argument for adorable little curly pencil moustaches as ladies' fashion accessories! ![]() |

Have you noticed how the snarling has become biting in this forum recently? Not really. It didn't make it past my relevancy filter. Tell us what you did in sl (or real) that was really funny or happy or stunningly beautiful this past weekend. Regretably - nothing of note. I live a very sheltered life! The weather was so very stormy over the weekend I kept inside, mostly. Except for helping my neighbour whose tree was blown down, falling across the entrance to my garage. In SL, I tested a nice new HUD feature, which lets you combine ballet animations into a dance routine and I tidied up my shop a bit. _____________________

Oops, Jiggy, I got so caught up in ferrets and Elvis I forgot about the actual question
This weekend was a load of very squelchy mud, country roads, men in cammie, guns, rain and boots. So I did this in 2l: Today was more on the beautiful side. At dusk I walked home along the beach, looking at the layers of clouds and half lamenting my colorblindness. Even I could tell there was something going on with the sun shining through them. Winter is here, and the air has a bite but it wasn't windy enough to hurry. The tide was out, and the natural causeway was visible, rising up out of the sea and stretching to the islands. I love the sea and salt air. _____________________

My son is ferret sitting three adorable ferret's this month. I should take my own pictures. I wonder if any of them have the temperment for being dressed up. Probably one does because he is a real lap fettet. He loves to be with people.

Yeah right... like there are any "real" Mexican restaurants in Washington. ![]() LOL - well this one is actually decent. I was hungover once and asked about the menudo, and the guy said "If you've ever had real menudo from Mexico, don't get this." So at least they're honest. But the albondigas kicks ass. _____________________

I haven't been able to log into SL much lately between my blinky computer and my amazing RL friends.
This last weekend I had several RL adventures with a close friend. I visited and toured an antebellum mansion reputed to be the most haunted building in Tennessee. (Well it does have a very creepy big tree at least.) Spent almost a whole day rummaging through old books at a huge antique mall and some other low key adventures that to me were therapeutic and peaceful. I agree these forums do need less snarking, but I won't take anyone off mute. I made that mistake once before. I put up with enough negative vibes at work and will not be exposed to them here - thanks. . _____________________

Actually if you compared this forum to a rock band, it is now waaay past that first breakup. . . . Does this mean we should look into doing a reunion tour now, or the first of a long series of final tours? |
