Have you noticed how the snarling has become biting in this forum recently? Rock groups break up soonest at this point. Coz we're all imagnative and intelligent enough to want to argue our pains away. We haven't been happy campers for a time.
We're really asking to be shut down if we're not careful. So, let's pull together now and desist from ignoring and ARing and snuffing and all that pillow-smacking nonsense.
Welcome each other back to the point that makes THIS work for us.
Tell us what you did in sl (or real) that was really funny or happy or stunningly beautiful this past weekend.

My wife made an idiot of herself in front of my son a couple of times; maybe she'll take notice of my advice on how to win his respect back now.
Wales should have won by a street against Samoa, but just about managed to hang on in the end. Jonny Wilkinson confirmed my long-held opinion of him.
The weather deities granted my wishes for a dry and sunny Sunday morning so I could watch said son play rugby.
A co-curmudgeon at the rugby club (another insightful, perspicacious and latinate Welshman) entertained my family (well, it was his wife, actually - who knows how to make proper gravy) to a practice run Christmas dinner.
Pep (The turkey was accompanied by several excellent bottles of claret - and the wife was driving.)
PS I can have hot, steamy sex whenever I like, but Christmas comes but once a year.

In no particular order - went to see the new 2012 movie as it opened friday over here. Went out with the girls from work, (I am the entertaining token guy lol!), ate a mountain of vindaloo chicken curry and drunk several pints of peroni beer, watched brazil v england football, picked oldest son up drunk as a skunk from a party at 2 a.m., took the dog for a long walk on a local fen in the drizzly rain, nodded off in the afternoon, sorted e:bay, BM and twitter stuff, sorted work for today, had a hot bath and completed the bernard cornwall book I am reading. second life time? - zilch except for a quick inventory sort saturday morning.

From: Jig Chippewa Rock groups break up soonest at this point. Actually if you compared this forum to a rock band, it is now waaay past that first breakup. In fact, well after the replacement of the lead singer with a tolerated but far less loved stand~in, the overdose of the original drummer and just barely past the greatest hits album and halfway through the "I'm still famous in Japan" second comeback phase. Most accurately we are right about where everyone's put on a few pounds, is wearing a rhinestone jumpsuit and just signed a long term casino show contract on the cheap trucker side of Vegas. In my opinion, of course * * * * * This weekend I had hot, steamy seafood and loved it. Ah well...

These forums have become sort of like a train wreck to me. You don't want to look but just can't help peeking one more time.

Wait.. What?? I'm supposed to be grumpy? I didn't know.. /me looks embarrased. edit: I am, apparently, the spaced out keyboardist, added after the lackluster 4th album in an attempt to make the band 'fresh', who doesn't know what's going on.

From: Argent Stonecutter dɐʇ 1ɐṳıds sı sıɥʇ I'm almost disappointed. I really, truly thought I was going to see a ferret in a sparkly jumpsuit strutting across a stage and twirling a mic by its cord

It really won't. No sparkles, no gold cord, and barely a collar in sight. It's your own fault, you have given the forum a certain level of expectation and then churn out a ferret that looks like he is applying for a bit part in Star Wars? Tsk.

It was nice weather for us over the weekend. We worked on the flowerbeds and the yard. This should be the last time it needs to be mowed. The grass is still green but the growth has slowed down a lot. We need to cut back our roses but the bushes are still putting out flowers and new growth and I hate to thin them out when they look so pretty. Saturday night we had a few friends over and mydaughter had some of her friends over as well. We had a house full of girls But the ice wine clover and I had after supper gave me a headache and the noise level was a little rough on me so I slipped of to bed early. Clover came and layed in bed with me and we talked. It was great to have the time together to just talk. In the dark, cool room my headache went away and the muffed sound of the girls laughing and watching a movie was music. It was a beautiful moment. It is one I will cherish for a long time. So thank you for asking, Jig. It was the a good weekend at the Huntress Household.
