I have posted this before.... but here we go again...
According the information LL gives there will be only one way for me to verify my age and that is my passport (drivers licenses and alike will not work).
But in my passport is written clearly: "THIS PASSPORT IS THE PROPRIETY OF THE STATE OF THE NETHERLANDS. THE BEARER OF THIS PASSPORT MAY PASS IT TO THIRD PARTY IF THERE IS A THIRD PARTY ONLY IF THERE IS A STATUTORY OBLIGATION TO DO SO."
Sorry for the caps, but it is written in caps in my passport, meaning this is important information.
I have told clearly that this is not only about the object passport, but also about the unique information in it, as the passport-number that is displayed in it.
LL nor a age verification company nor a data-mining company have a "statutory obligation". So giving out this information would be an illegal act for me to do.
Edit: Something else comes to mind... what about those that don't have a passport, but only an offical indentification card? I have both, but many have only an ID card (it is cheaper and if you don't travel outside Europe you don't need a passport at all)
Morwen.

Morwen I think that as UK customers have discovered, you don't actually need to provide that information.
I'm with you on the passport number, it's none of their business and I'd love to know under what authority they can verify it.

Then what information DO they need? They have my CC.... for 99.99% of the Internet that is enough, but LL need more???? But what? A form where I can click "Yes, I am 18 or older?".... Morwen.

I may verify if I can do it with just name, address and DoB; otherwise, no dice. I wonder if I will be considered to be age-verified when my AV's age reaches 18 On a similar note (regarding wanting too much info), I wanted to sign-up to pay one of my credit card companies via their online site. I went to sign-up. And guess what, they had Driver's License and Social Security Number as required fields! I tried ignoring those and continue on, but it flagged them. I immediately backed out the process. I then sent them an email to them, telling them I wanted to sign-up for online pay ability, but they were asking for too much information. Other credit card companies only require checking account and routing code. A few days later I received an email response. There answer was, "We are using a third-party for the process and that is their requirements". Not gonna happen LL. When my AV turns 18 (should I live that long), I'm gonna raise hell.
