I've received a couple of offline im's today, which are clearly delayed. Indeed they're from weeks ago. The people involved probably think I'm ignoring them or something. Anyone else getting delayed offlines today?

Today? This has been going on for months. It happens to me every single day, almost.

Seriously? I've now had three, it's like someone in the LL HQ has plugged something back in.

My partner got a bunch of (10+) delayed messages from me today. Some were couple of months old.

I've been missing a lot of offline IMs lately - last month or so.. I assumed it was just my mail host acting up, though.

Ghaa. I just had one of them, informing me about a 1k bonus for referral. Needless to say, not acutally having fresh Lindens in my account was kind of a bummer.

I've had this today. I received three or four IMs that I know were sent weeks ago or longer - two were IMs that I didn't recall receiving at the time, and one was an IM that I know for sure I did receive at the time.

Contrary to some comments above, this is a very unusual occurrence for me. In fact I am not sure I have ever seen this before. I have very occasionally seen an IM completely lost in the ether, but I've never seen weeks-old IMs surfacing, let alone multiple ones within a few minutes of each other.

No, something's definitely up today. This morning I've gotten responses to IMs that I sent 2 months ago from 3 or 4 different people, and I have confirmed that I've received "new" IMs from other people that were weeks old.

Also strange is that some, if not all, of my IMs to others that were re-sent were repeats; they were things they had already received when I first tried to contact them.

I don't send IM's to email, but just about every time I log on I get an IM from earlier in the day...when I was logged on and talking to that particular person. For some reason they don't make it to me in real time.

I suppose I have to join the club. I just got two that have to be from some time ago. I don't recognise either name. One said "sure" and the other said "thank you". They must be from customers but I've no idea what they were about.

/me too, with the offline IMs. I thought it was my mail server just being screwy, again, but I seem to be missing a lot more than usual over the last ~month.

Delayed repeat IMs too, which can make convos strange. I have had people go 'huh?' when referring to an IM so I have asked them to copy/paste it. It is something which I clearly can remember them answering back to more than a month ago.

I do send offline ones to email ... and the other day it sent me one while I was logged in! (no, it was not delayed mail either, it was not waiting in my IM window when I got there)

I just got another one - this time with the original time and date. It was November 19th at 9:31 a.m. :)

SL is so unreliable.

This morning I had a reply to an IM I sent three or more weeks ago. I had assumed it had just never reached the person.

Though it's affecting gazillions of users and wreaking havoc on the space time continuum of dependable electronic communications, I see no mention of this on the Grid Status page, and no indication anywhere that someone is looking into this to correct the problem.

Given the lack of acknowledgment, I'm wondering if we can expect a fix or explanation or something.

I received one IM last night that was a reply to an IM I sent November 8th. The reply, though, was also sent back then. But didn't arrive until December 8th, last night. So one IM that was delayed for a month.

Then I received two more which were also delayed, but I'm not sure how long ago they were sent.

I have had this too, It worries me in case someone has a problem /question with a product or something and then just thinks I am ignoring them :( I have set up an email account so if someone was to get no reply after ages, they could email me if they wanted...its scary to think our ims are out there randomly waiting to jump on us when we least expect it! O.o!

Today I logged in to discover two IM's waiting for me, both of which apparently had been sent days ago. One was a whopping six days old, and the other, two days. I've been in-world almost every day this week, so I should have received the messages within hours of when they were sent, but neither of them appeared until today.

This is no small matter. Both of these messages were work related, and the delays could easily have cost me money. Not cool.
