Greetings! We are a group of students from the National University of Singapore (NUS) doing a project on the effectiveness of advertising in Second Life (SL). We would appreciate if you could spare us 10 min of your time to help us fill up this survey. All responses will be treated with the strictest confidence. Thank you very much! http://www.eSurveysPro.com/Survey.aspx?id=f2b88756-7462-49db-8e34-e804def2fef2 Cheers, mars Hancroft Oh dear . . . I do not do any surveys that dont go through aa university itself. Esurveys have nothing to do with the university so I will never consider doing it. If you need answers go inworld and get them. We arent guinea pigs. TY

Hmm, actually, this survey's not bad.
Finally one that isn't someone's sloppy attempt at getting a last minute assignment done, nor something pretending to be something it isn't. _____________________

We arent guinea pigs. TY Hi Toy, I agree that this survey has nothing to do with my school directly. However, since it is part of my course work requirement, I believe that it involves my school indirectly. And yes, I'll go in-world and interact with SL participants. Posting on forums is only another channel to get responses. Cheers, mars Hancroft |

Ditto. I am so used to ignoring advertising that I usually do not even see it when it is right in front of my nose. And that even goes for RL advertising in RL. i think THEY think it is subliminal when in fact, it is simply bypassed or overlooked. edited to add: imo, to be helpful to the thread and OP and others trying to find a marketing strategy.... it is my personal experience that the BEST way to advertise in SL is to have many locations of your store. when i see the same one over and over, the name sticks in my head. that happened when i started actually buying clothes and kept running across Adored. i spent thousands and thousands at her stores when i first joined SL. she was so 'around' that i jsut had to go see, and i loved her stuff. i now have a shop in her mall, and she has one in mine. i also tried her strategy and that totally paid off - and i sold lots of clothes doing it, but now i am not as interested in the clothing market because i don't have the time needed to create new items, so i backed off. btw.... i only really sold at my main store. i hardly ever sold at the outlets. landmark givers are a MUST. don't underestimate your mall space. it DOES work. _____________________

Ditto. I am so used to ignoring advertising that I usually do not even see it when it is right in front of my nose. And that even goes for RL advertising in RL. Yep I often find my path blocked by objects I have to feel my way around, people who can see these objects tell me they are billboards, running is especially dangerous, they should be banned. _____________________
