My Land Being Hijacked

I own my land. But I have a problem that won't go away and I don't know what to do about it. So maybe I can get some information on this here.

Seems every now and then the land next to mine over takes my land. The music and all the settings of the land next to mine is now on my land. On the top of my screen where the name of my place is changes and now I have the name and all the settings like no flight and no scripts now appear where my lands name and settings should be. If they have music on it now cuts off my music and replaces it with theirs. It's like my place is now added to theirs.

I spoke to the people who I pay tier to and they've done nothing. She says it's not possible for this to happen although I send her a picture showing the changes since I added the hud of the screen to it. It shows the name and everything else of this place where mine should be. Even with this proof she still refuses to see this therefore doing nothing about it. So I must now look elsewhere for a way to stop this.

Another thing is at times when this happens only I can see the changes and anyone else there can't. Other times anyone else there will also see this occur as I do. Sometimes I can change everything back to my settings and place by playing a song on the radio or my jukebox. Other times it has no effect at all. What I then need to do when nothing else works is to tp out then tp back and everything is then normal again until the next time it happens again. This is happening more and more as of late and it's very annoying and frustrating.

Would this be a Linden problem? Does anyone know anything on this?

Thanks

this is not a Linden problem, it's a bad landlord problem.

i'd say you're going to have to move if you want to be rid of this issue. your landlord has already indicated they are not interested in your woes, and if you keep complaining, they might evict you with no compensation.

i don't know how you are going to sell for a decent price if this is happening while your land is for sale... but it would be wrong of you to not dicslose this issue if you go that route.

best of luck!

Does this always work? If so, what version of the viewer are you using? But I'm guessing the TP-out-and-back won't work when other people see it, too.

I've definitely had parcel information get garbled in my viewer before (carry-over from one "About Land" view to another), but having it actually affect parcel permissions, media, etc... wonder if it's specific to Estate land.

On the estate I managed had the garbled info in viewer often, just have to wait for it to load. Never had parcel permission, media problems though

odd

my partner has been seeing strange lately also. When she checks properties of an item that is set to our group, she sometimes sees another group name.

It has just started this past week or two and we haven't had time to investigate thoroughly. Its not always the same group either...and it hasn't always been on our current plot of land. We just sold land and moved over the weekend and she saw something similar in our old place (but a different group)

I suspect it has something to do with her computer/client but I'm not sure.

We haven't seen the music change...just groups named on our objects. ( I see them as being fine though)

i disagree, this has happend befor and is still happening, it`s a bug in the client or server where it sends the wrong info

it has been discussed not long ago briefly

have had this happen aswell, thankfully only once, the land name and description along with media settings suddently change of that of the neighbouring parcel for no reason
only users affected will be able to see it while others see it as it should be

this the landlord can`t handle/sort cause it is caused by some weird bug in the software, nota bugged landlord ;)

This -- the land title and parcel stream issue -- is one that has been documented for months now. See /327/e8/235228/1.html for discussion.

Please, please, please, if it bothers you (it bothers me a LOT), go vote for the jira on the topic:
Just https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2123
They aren't going to bother to fix this unless we complain. And although I do a lot of complaining, I cannot do enough for complaining for everybody. :)

/me eeks..

Just https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2123 will do.

And, if people are having fun voting, SVC-835 is a good one, too! ;)
