I think Conifer was a name my RL had used on some other message board they joined while they'd been cutting a conifer hedge at the time. I think they chose the name Conifer for SL without any great thought, before realising the potential of the world. Dada just seemed like a name that went well with Conifer. But I like my name, it has a ring to it I'm glad my RL chose it.

Alyx as well as Sands both relate to my RL first name, Alexandra. Alyx is the nickname I would have liked to have but never really got, and Sands is a variation on Sandy, my actual RL nickname, and the name of a character I made up 20 years ago, too....

Before I came to SL, I had a magical/fantasy roleplaying character in a text-based RP venue, where I was known as "Ceera Darkwynde". Both names were something I made up, and were based on the back-story that I had written for the character. (Ceera was a pyromancer who also controlled nightmare magicks, and her attacks had often been called "The searing dark wind" by her victims. She adapted that to "Ceera Darkwynde" as the name she would give publicly, forsaking use of her birth name.)
After years playing that character, she formed a strong bond with another RP character whose Player later came to SL, and pretty much stopped roleplaying anywhere else. So I brought Ceera here to keep playing with my friend. Of course, here in SL, I wasn't permitted to use the surname I had used for years for that character... And the surname my friend had taken here was already closed and unavailable. So I picked an Asian-sounding surname that sounded decent to me with Ceera as a given name... _____________________

I like threads that have been started today, so here is another question ... Why did you select the first name you use? I've been using it 4 years. Since I started Everquest 2. Used random name on a wizard dark elf female and it came up with Okiphia ^_^ I love it, so I use it. Also pretty damn unique ^_^ i'd have the surname Fatali if I could. |

I needed a quick name to fill in, as I didn't know if SL would work. So I tested with Blabla2, but was amazed that in no time I had settled some contacts that would only recognise me by that name.
Although it's a stupid name, it is easy to remember. |

I like country music and doing the twostep. I have used a variation of this name since I started creating online names many moons ago.

Weston was the main character in a "novel" I started writing in the 7th grade. It's about half the letters in my first and last name scrambled. I hope for posterity's sake the ten or so pages of the "novel" were destroyed almost 40 years ago, but Weston still appears in the occasional Walter Middy-like daydream, and now in SL.
Graves was one of the surnames available I could easily spell. I may have been thinking of Peter Graves, though I notice it's popular with the goth crowd for some reason. I have an alt whose name is far more similar to my RL name. |

Joseph is my RL first name. Worthington shares the same first letter as my RL last name, thus keeping my initials, JW, the same. Plus it's the last name of the X-Man Angel, who goes by Warren Worthington III.
A few weeks after I signed up, my RL last name became available and I thought long and hard about creating a "new me" with my real first and last name., but realized that would only lead to RL trouble eventually so let it go. _____________________

Second AVI- First had my RL name- but she is no longer here. Well she comes to test things only stays for a moment, no longer. The name I have is my RL Nick name, goes back to the Flintstones that little Purple Dino I had when I was about 5 years old. That name stuck with me for ages! Now lives on here in Second Life.

Sommerland is a place you go after you die according to some metaphysical books I've read. Starostin because of the *Star.* I like stars, a sign of hope for me.

I have been Honey, in some form or another, since I hit the internet in 1994. Just "Honey" wasn't available, so Bear was added, as I was a "Bear" in another game I played at the time.
I hate it. I'd love to find the person who has Honey Lilliehook and beg them to leave the game. lol _____________________
