There may be a new market for them.

*Wonders how her logo would look on a ballgag.

What haven't you put your logo on?

If I gave a crap anymore I would suggest that LL just keep this forum as it is as asequestered place for those of us so inclined to jump up and down on the mattress and yell at each other, away from general view. Maybe call it The Speakeasy. You have to know where it is to find it.Everyone else can have their "More Predictable" (tm) online experience.
They could make it Adult Verified/Payment Info Used and we could have arguments about whether child avs should be allowed to post here.

I noticed the same comment on another thread last night, and it was closed as well....the title on it was something like "why these forums suck"....I would look up the exact title, but I'll never find that thread again.....I simply can't find stuff....and I'm an expert surfer.

There was a post in a thread this morning by Lilybeth....that pretty much summed some of it up....there are other reasons as well, that I've heard from other business owners...... and it's very sad to see that she will not be posting there....I always enjoyed her posts here, and especially for merchants, it's a shame that those who have been around and those who have survived and done well, do not feel inclined to participate.....but it's totally understandable.

People WANT a Functioning Forum that everyone is describing. It doesn't matter what side you are on, or what forum you came from, or if you're a top poster or not, or whether you're a whiner or a Pollyanna, and anywhere in between.....that message is in everyone's writing. You can't miss it.

LL is missing the boat by not nurturing a tool that will encourage participation from these people. It would be Win/Win for all involved. I rarely complain.....very rarely. This is an observation and concern....not a complaint. I just don't understand why a Linden would not read that, and send her an IM immediately, and set a time to discuss the concerns and ask for input. Valuable Information. I just don't get it.

I conduct my SL business as if it will be gone tomorrow. I invest a LOT.....time, energy, and money. But.....I also approach it as if it will be gone tomorrow, and make sure it is not the end all be all. I wonder what it would feel like to wake up in the morning, and go to your SL business to do your routine.....and think "I'm going to bust it out Double Time today, because there's a great future here, and I want to be part of it." Oh yeah....I remember what that was like. I had that feeling about this time last year.....and it was exciting, and it grew the business, and the excitement was tossed about among a circle of friends feeling the same thing. But it faded the last few months....and now I just log in and do the "chores".....and contemplate scaling down and putting energy into another online business that is growing based upon input from it's users.

I did notice that Blue talked about still making the Dashbored customizeable. I hope so. The only part of that thing I have use for is The Account page, if I could remove all that other useless (to me) stuff it would help.

I just bookmark all the pages I need and put them in one of 5 firefox folders in my sidebar related to SL, then I can jump directly to whatever page I need. I even have some links to discontinued pages from the old SL website they forgot to remove, like:

/me looks confused.

What does that closed topic/thread have to do with the new Answers stuff? It looks like it was in 'discussions' instead of 'answers.'

edit: /me reads more.. Oh.. It was in 'answers' then, because it was a discussion, got moved to 'discussions' then locked? Er.. Bring back Strife!!! (and Millie and Cyban (sp?))

Actually, that *is* the follow-up. It has a link to the original thread in the OP.

And if they do, is it considered cheating, if they don't get their stipend and get ripped of by a vendor who is a male playing a female vampire avatar who hates Gor......

oh, ok...good work. I really like that you can come here to discuss the topics/threads from over there, with proper links posted here, and vice versa, proper links over there to discussions over here....so you can flip back and forth, without getting off course, and have two different sets of discussion on the exact same topic going on at the same time. Very Efficient!

Perhaps the Forums should be preserved - if only to provide an index to whatever is going on the in the blorums.
The more I am dragged in the direction of that information swamp, the more I become convinced that it's a representation of how LL management 'works'. It would explain a lot.

For me, I start with a 3 meter rope folded in half. I tie a cloverleaf knot on the larkshead end first. Then a knot for the ball centered about 2 or 3 inches from the first knot. That's it for prep. When the time comes, I shove the ball into my captive's mouth and wrap the loose ends around the back of the head. Loop the ends around the clover knot and finish with a couple of twists leaving the ends to dangle. If the victim starts to chough and choke from not being able to swallow, you can quickly remove the gag by pulling the tag lines' loop over the clover knot.

Some people just wipe the last person's dried spit off on their crotch.

Well, no offense to LL on how it works over there.....I have a huge problem with attention deficit disorder, myself....so I have some empathy.

It's kind of like how I've been running the store here. I start the gold set.....set it out on the floor, without all the proper accessories....then start the purple set, and do the same thing.....then in the middle of that, I add a shiny new lot with more prims, without using all the prims in the first lot efficiently.....then in the middle of that, I ask for group feedback on what they want, and get started on the red set......and totally forget that I have not completed the gold set, and that I have a whole new shiny lot of prims to use productively.....and it just sits there, while I decide to start the green set, and forget that the group asked for a red set.....and then....

I can totally relate. But it would have been more profitable to forget the gold set, and complete the red set (which was requested by the customers)....in it's entirety, and to make efficient use of the shiny new land.

At the time of writing this, the top of the list in "Popular Discussions" is the Child Avatar discussion.

It got too popular is all. :) - so LL locked the most popular discussion.

can't say I blame 'em, either.

WHOA!

I pity the Boy Scouts.
First it was a ban on pen-knives

Next will come a ban on bits of rope.
