Sadly, that isn't me. =/

Jeff Linden and I had a little in joke as well. He also isn't me. :p

What is scarey to me is the google maps. In my area they have photographs of the streets (not google earth, these are actual photos), you can see into my neighbors window from their picture.... I do not liek that at all.

Sure the street corners or lights is a good idea, but 360 degree and down the street you can zoom.

I am not happy and have written a few letters.

Check it out see if your street is on there...

Wow, those are ugly lampshades in your neighbor's bedroom.

Maybe if you tell her everyone on the world can see them, she will change her mind.

I googled my rl name recently and found my address thanks to campaign donations I have made. Effing great.
.

This is normal (for the USA corporate/police state).
This and what you paid for your last three houses, the name of your dog, and what you had for breakfast.

This is why Americans simply don't understand the fuss that Europeans make about IDV.

You've been monetised.

I get a link to my Snapzilla page. Aside from that, lots of articles with both "Dakota" and "Tebaldi" in them, but not as a single name.

175,000 hits for Karl Herber. Hit #1, and at least half of the first 4 pages I looked at, were for the real Karl Herber, who is a professional photographer. I discovered him the first time I googled my SL name, and intriguingly, one of his specialities is photographing horses. One day I might just buy one of his prints.

I have to agree here .. it is getting ridiculous.

Things like credit checks when applying for a job are really beyond the scope of what is necessary.

There really needs to be some controls over your personal information thats just not there.

Apparenly somebody looked at Google Earth, zoomed in on their house and could see their dog was lying on the lawn. It was quite a big dog.

Not much for my poor avatar, but 1,130 for me (I'm a novelist). Surprised that there are three or four other people with the same name-- it's a strange one.

Ralektra only gets about 11, about 8 of them are me, 2 from SL and the rest from WoW.

My RL name got over 53K hits! I don't think a one of them was me personally, not in the first 5 pages or so anyway, by then I was bored with looking :P

Well, saying one has 'a page', '10 pages' et cetera of results is meaningless because no one knows how many results per page you're set to have. Two pages beats 10 if my two pages have 100 results each, and your ten pages have ten results apeice.

How many total results? That's the real measure.
Ahhh true - and I am one of those that almost always changes their page settings from the default values.

Only 13 results for my SL name, just shy of 1000 for my RL name but a random scanning across the pages shows than none of them are me.

Being in live music I get a lot when I Google my name :D However, when I google my RL name, I get a lot of references to a serial killer in Canada... Fortunately he killed himself after his deed, so people can't claim I'm him :P

Results: 9,100 results for "Jaycatt" and 2,870 for "Jaycatt Nico"... 35,800 for my RL name :D

0 relevant results for my RL name (most of the others aren't something I'd complain about lol)
0 results for my SL name
One of my main aliases get thousands of results but it's a common name. My other main alias gets 59 results. All the others, 0 results.

Even 10 years ago I wandered the Internet almost exclusively under an alias. And the aliases changed every few years. Just always been like that. What few accurate references came up for my real name I finished having removed earlier this year and don't intend to let anything show up again.

Googling "3Ring Binder" produced your SLUniverse profile as the first result.

"SuezanneC OR SuezanneCB" yields 7,460 results.

I have and there is probably lot of links to name too.
For some reason though I only have 2 links one to the Onrez and the other to my vine tree man personal advertisement.
RL name there is few hits from my book wish list, etc. and the mythological being I was named after.

I Googled my RL first & last name and came up with ZERO hits. :)

My SL name, however, generates quite a few. ;)

8 hits for my SL. Blog posts all of them.

None for my RL because I opted out of Google Search.

/me wonders if an avatar can opt out of Google Search. Be an interesting test for avatar rights I think.

o.O O.o I did this just the other day and um...I don't like it at all. RL or SL. It's intrusive, and it makes me feel icky.
