From: Kahiro Watanabe Not really sure... most of the lindens i've seen...one of them had a default av. And the rest looked cheap. I think the LL's coders doesn't worry about how they look...and they log in to fix/improve the grid in fact there's an account level called like "Cube", "Super Cuber" or "White Cube". Some do, some don't -- much like the rest of the grid. For example, I came across Bambers Linden the other night, who was out wandering the grid and ended up near my backyard (no, he did not seem to know anythign about the neighbors, before anyone asks). His avvie wore jeans, a black sweater, and newbie hair, eyes, and skin. Meanwhile, one can look at someone like Colton Linden and see a very detailed avatar with a distinctive, almost Dickensian look, attached to marionette strings.

I'm sure it's not for free, its very common for companies not to post a salary in online job adverts.

From: Snowflake Fairymeadow I realize that a lot of them are very advanced creators, but if there job also entails helping residents, they need to find a balance to do their job well.
Most jobs have fun parts and sucky parts. The fun parts are what get people to apply for the job, but the sucky parts are what people are really getting paid for. if the fun part is that fun, many people would be willing to do it for free. there are a lot of people in SL who create just for the joy of creating, and don't get paid by LL to do it. Not only that, sometimes there are issues where the only person who CAN help is a Linden.
I don't like it when I call a business and the person on the other end has a tone like I am bothering them and they can't wait to tell me "submit a ticket" and then rush to hang up the phone. Well from the details of their job description sounds like a whole lot of complex stuff is happening, with tons and tons of people to deal with. Then there is human factor. Humans aren't perfect in interacting with each other, sometimes it easier to quote policy then really help a fellow human being. Example, in my real life I am quite ill and often those in charge of my services or accessing my care are also preoccupied with policy, funding, schedules and often don't provide very good services too. Yes I could feel it something personal against me, decide to give up, take it personally but these people even though they are Professionals are human and sometimes have tunnel vision.

Hehe, job descriptions. My job description is kind of horrible to look at. It basically says that I'm to do everything at any time. And lift and carry 50/60 pound weights as I do it. hehe. There are people I have to deal with. I will not touch on that (the main thrust of your comment, hehe).

Oh, I do not normally, but the bosses want to be sure they can give me any job they want to, including lifting and carrying 50/60 pound boxes around. Here are some Linden's I've seen, just because it was mentioned something about the looks of Lindens in this thread.

I am sorry to hear that you are ill and that the people who help you don't provide good services. The bottom line is for me, SL is a non-essential for me, I have a choice of where to spend my money, they have a choice whether to be nice to people on the phone, especially if that is what they are hired to do.
