As long as the merchandise is good quality, I'm happy to shop.

Not just a prim issue, textures as well. 20 Dress images in a vendor is 19 fewer that you have to download during the initial store rez. If the creator has been at it a while, you're downloading hundreds of different textures if everything in single boxed. Think of how hard it is when you arrive someplace like Bare Rose?

I like both, for sure. Most of the time I end up buying from a store that does one thing, rather than many.

More important than that though, is navigation of the store. And while many will disagree, I strongly dislike single 'click-to-scroll' vendors that sell many items. :)

I don't even bother browsing through those anymore. If they're there, I skip over them.

I prefer stores that specialize in one thing but also carry accessories in a limited fashion.

Sometimes, for me, having too much to choose from results in not purchasing anything at all.

Preparation and Presentation of a small inventory will get my attention more than waiting around for a thousand vendor textures to rez!

Eeee b'ah gum t'ere's trouble up t'a mill!

METROsexual men feel comfortable in stores and enjoy looking attractive and smelling equally dishy. The flat cap brigade (of which you appear to be a commanding general) may sneer at women and men like us but those like me (and just about practically EVERYONE I know who enjoy fashion as artistic self-expression) sneer back.

I like a one subject store.

And as my mum says when I go shopping with her in real: "Jig, leave something for the other nice people to buy"

ooo another strategic top of page posting!

Well, *there's* an opportunity for a (Friday?) poll.

You see, I KNEW you didnt mean what you typed. I can always get you to back down. You are dealing with The Mistress of Charm and Ploys when it comes to getting my way. My Dad was putty in my hands when it came to allowances and things I wanted to do.

I'd soon be having you making me toast and scarbled eggs every morning.

Hint: "Quotation marks" generally means that the typist is suggesting that someone else might have said it . . .

I prefer small stores. I like stores that have a focus. It doesn't matter if the focus is a theme or an object. It can include clothes, furniture, and miscellaneous as long as there is some theme. "Whimsy" is a theme. "Goth" is a theme. I want to know what I will find. Surprises are nice, but the main appeal is 'expectation met.'

Huge stores built to look impressive or realistic might be beautiful but they are lag monsters. Ease of movement should be #1.

But I still have to download all 20 textures to see if I want one of the 20 dresses. It's just with this vendor I have to click to dowload each one, one by one. Whereas if it's part of the initial store rez, I can just chat with people in IMs and make fun little groping blindly jokes while I wait. Much more entertaining than...click wait click wait click wait. ^_^

I cheat that... My surrounding for-sale boxes have black colored backs and sides... So, all my additional vendor images are placed on those faces. (^_^)

When someone comes to my store all the textures start loading, regardless of what's up on the vendor at the moment. (^_^)y

That's what my ArgentVision scripted texture-rotator TV thingy does: it preloads the next N images on hidden faces.
