The Lindex works with our local currencies too.

Plus, the Lindex is more competitive, offering approx 500L extra per 10 US dollars. It makes no difference if we let the Lindex do the transactions in eurodollars or pounds sterling. We still end up with the same amount of Lindens.

I spoke with these people. It's like SLX's currency exchange, except in Euros, and uses the Risk API. That's what they mean by "approved."

I've never seen the "official partner" logo anywhere either. It's possible it's authentic in which case, no problem, but if it's fake that's a rather big red flag.

2. Our staff member will check the possibility of purchase with the algorithm provided to us by Linden Labs.

3. If we get the "OK" for your avatar, we will most likely be able to buy your Linden Dollars. Our staff member will give you the exact exchange rate and the name of the avatar you can transfer your Linden Dollars to.

4. Please inform our staff member how you would like to receive the money and provide him with your European bank account or PayPal details.

5. As soon as the transfer of the Linden Dollars to our avatar was successful, we will arrange the transfer of the real currency via PayPal or bank transfer.

They might be legit, but I highly dislike their way of making business when a user wants to sell their Lindens. (I didn't even check the buying options.) I do NOT want to transfer my money to a single avatar...

I understand, Walker, and I only use the LindeX. I find no real competitive advantage using any other currency exchange. But I'm not restricted like a brand new avatar is in terms of the amount of L I can purchase. This is where currency exchanges like these fill a need.

With SLX, I still have full control over my Lindens all the time and can decide for how much I want to sell them. Here, they SAY they use the RiskApi but I have no proof of and no way to control what really happens after I give my Lindens away.

If there really no way for residents to confirm that businesses are using the RiskAPI?

You'd think LL would have a list somewhere on the site.

It was already posted in this thread that LL has them on the list of organizations using the RiskAPI.

It points at a wiki.

Granted, wiki.secondlife.com, but I question it's accuracy if it can be updated by users.

Also, that page does not contain a comprehensive list of businesses using the RiskAPI. Ram Linden says as much in the history.

I stopped reading after "approved by Linden Labs". LL doesn't "approve" or "endorse" third-party exchanges. Anyone making the claim is being deceptive at best, dishonest at worst.
