Let's answer the question with honesty... how many of you actually sell any of their products on SL Exchange?
I mean, I have been using it since this summer and I can count on the fingers of a single hand the sales I got from there. It just doesn't compare with the in-world store.
Is there anybody who actually can sell a lot on SL Exchange?

I do not see how you list SLX as "Completely useless" because you say you sell more in world. Guess thats just me though.

I only see two products by you listed on slexchange.
Maybe people look at the and and do what it says on the ad: visit the store to take a look.

I prefer to see what I'm buying.
So I tend to use SLEx to find out about things, but then go in world to actually find the object (either through the location listed in the SL Exchange entry, or by looking up the seller and checking their picks).
Some vendors mark up the SLEx price slightly to cover the commission SLEx charge, so sometimes you find the item cheaper if you buy in world anyway.

As much as I don't care for some of the attitude that comes from the owners of that site, I still think it's an excellent site.
You can find anything under the sun there and the currency exchange is way better than dealing with that damned LindeX, IMO. I get my money in my paypal literally seconds after I exchange my L$. With LindeX, well who the hell knows when you'll get it, theres no rhyme or reason to it, unless it's changed since I stopped using it several months ago.

I never buy anything off SL Exchange, but it has not been useless for many that I have bought from. I search though SLX and when I find what I think I want I tp to the store. I think there were two times that the person didn't have the store listed on the ad (or at least I couldn't find it). In those cases I ignored the items and kept looking.

My houses seem to sell on there OK, I guess it depends on your expectations. I buy quite a lot from SLEX too, it saves having to TP into massively lagged sims to find a shop doesnt have what you want. Can also shop when youre not logged into SL. If im buying clothes, hair, shoes etc I dont see the difference between a picture on SLEX and a picture in a 'shop'. The webpage seems to have a few problems this weekend tho, but then so does the SL webpage.

slx has two purposes for me: 1. the exchange. i buy and sell all my L$ on slx 2. research. its far easier to search for products on slx than in-world. then i tp to the store or look at the persons picks for more information. last few days has been pretty dodgy though. i think theyre having some issues at the moment.

I don't sell anything, I only buy I have never bought anything on SL Exchange, but I've done lots of searches for products on SLX and then I go in-world and buy the products. That's how I use SLX.

Even 1 sale makes SL exchange worth while as its 1 more sale than you would normally have since it is free to list and cost you nothing upfront.

I think SLX is a great site. As a seller it costs nothing to put stuff on there and sales do trickle in for me even though don't have much listed compared to the shop. Because I have furniture people normally want to see it first so SLX is mainly advertising.
As a buyer I do buy my clothes on SLX though some items I will tp to the merchants shop. It's far easier to search out of SL than having to tp all over the place and not finding.
I notice you have two items listed, both pictures at 400L. That is very expensive for photographs of some landmarks. Maybe it's your items that are the problem, not SLX.

SLX is a great site, i make more sales on it than at another, unnamed, site. It gives shoppers the opportunity to compare quality and prices at a glance. It's also ideal for gift giving.
Best of all, it's free - you only have to make one sale to make a profit.

SLX is wonderful!! It's like having a vending spot in a high traffic area for free. The magic box only takes up 1 prim on your land that can easily be hidden. I do sell items there, and I personally shop there more than in world. When I'm working on a project or decorating a room and need something instead of jumping all over the world, I do a quick search on slx. When a birthday comes up, I look there and have it delivered because nearly everything in world these days is grrrrrr No transfer. I have a small collections of mens shirts I bought for people before realizing they were no trans. =)

i only sell through slex. my inworld sales are spurious at best. the slex format provides everything Sl does exccept 3d/tryiton but DAG buyer reviews? not in SL. links to youtube advertisments? hahah not in SL. i don't rake in much ~1400-3000 per week, but what does it cost? the best part is the freebies i have that ppl grab by the score. i like knowing my stuff is wanted. it's quite a compliment.

O.O I never thought to put the store location in the ad. Then again, maybe if I put a description it would help to... --- (For the OP) Even without the above, I do okay on SLX, can't complain. Free advertising, shows traffic of your items and who bought what, easy L$ conversion and cashing out. Good deal to me. With all the absolutely amazing creations out there, I'm flattered that people even look at my stuff, let alone buy it...
