To me the improved Sun looks better whether at sunrise, noon or sunset. It looks like those not-very-good sun/moon reflections off water have gone - probably that's a good thing.

I don't like the new sun. Was that provided by the open source community? I know there's one developer that is or was working on a viewer and the only thing they've shown of it is some pictures of fancy clouds and other things related to the sky display.
Whether that's the case or not, I don't like the new sun. I suspect the feeling is mutual. _____________________

I actually like the new sun now that I've really stopped and looked at it. Can't say why exactly...but it being a white hot star is something out of the norm that adds a nice little hint of fantasty to the world which at times is extremely lifelike.

I didn't like the old sun so this one is much improved IMO. I am however, less concerned with the sun (and water), and more about why I can't respond to a single group IM because I have insufficient permissions
