Not all Copybot's are copybots.... We just found one that is sold as Copybot V.15 and is advertise as a Copybot. But what really happens is that you pay 6000L for it when you purchase it. Then when you rez it it simply selfdestructs. And like that the seller scamed you from 6000L. If I did not have doubts about that I could actually get in trouble if I mentioned the avatar name of a guy like this I would do it. However I dont mind telling about the inworld URL where it happens. Then you at least know where not you purcahse your copybot. Just in case you SHOULD be lowlife enough to want one of those. The scam version is on this sim: Kaona but DONT PURCHASE IT..... How ironic, that people are scamming people who try to buy a device whose purpose is theft! Shame, shame! |

It's that newspaper The Second Life Herald that sells these copybots they advertise them all the time, write stories about them, tell you where to download them. Why has that website ot been shut down yet?
one way to protect objects that 'stay' in world like buildings, or sculptures, or furniture is to unlink the items. the copybot can only copy a linkset, or 1prim at a time. if you unlink your 500 prims masterpiece after you put it in world the copybot user would have to copy each prim one at a time and try to put it back together, if its linked it is as simple as 'export primuuid file.xml' and 'import file.xml' !quit does nothing. unlinking your stuff makes it virtually uncopyable but this wont help ppl who sell avatar attachments, unfortunatly. only but items that stay rezzed in world _____________________
InSL u find every kind of no-life retard you could possibly imagine as well as a few even Tim Burton couldnt imagine u find 12yr-olds claiming to be 40 men claiming 2 be women, women claiming 2 make sense and every1 claiming 2 have ideas that are actually worth a damn if only someone would just listen to their unique innovative and exceptionally important idea

i just looked through all of M**** Y****'s portfolio, and did not see the copybot described in his/her listings after 50 pages....
however, there is such a variety of items for sale (many free), i'm confident he/she gained the ability to sell these items by copying them, and most are freebies beind resold. the listing even includes creations by big SL names, such as L$10 Ansche Chung furniture. this is not a yard sale.i would be curious to know if his/her inworld shop lists the items as his/her original creations (copybot) or if they give credit to the creator. anyone have time to go on a "right click" adventure and let us know? _____________________

He has a shop in world where you can begin the process of buying a SL.Bot. It's obtained finally through their website. SLEX took down that particular product. although it wasn't really a product but more an instruction card on how you could obtain one of their products and the steps required. |

Damnit, no wonder there are so many copies of my prim genitals everywhere. Oh dear, another dangerous result of rampant copybotting! I don't know about anyone else, but when I go shopping and encounter the !quit message, strangely enough, it makes me want to !quit shopping at that store immediately. _____________________
