In SL I'm a kid, but I'm...different from other kids.

I do have a family, though. Well, a mother anyway. And I'm not goth, but she definitely is. So that's two categories from the list.

Yea, I'm one of those 10% in Macha's group. Normal, clothed most of the time (occassionally disrobed, but rarely), nothing unusual about me at all. Girl next door who occassionally gets a little wild when with the right (wrong? hehe) crowd. Most of my flights of fancy have more to do with photography reasons.

There are some pictures I could post.

Myself? I'm the just the normal average shape-shifter like that guy on Deep Space Nine, though I do not work security, nor am I as serious or as much of a downer as he is. I have not yet, though, found a silver puddle to transform myself into for "down", recharging times.

With the possible exception of Harry Potter or families, which you just don't see a whole lot of, none of the lifestyles in that list are "unique".

In fact, I can't swing a dead neko without hitting a vampire, a goth or, some days, a Greenie.

Well....I probably have a unique lifestyle in SL because I don't do ANY of the above stated. I don't even really use it as a social venue at all. I pretty much enjoy SL because it's a giant animated canvas that I can change at will. To me that's pretty cool. It's all about the visual. I take lots of pics.....I think of characters based on art or theatre or movies.....and enjoy the challenge of trying to reproduce them SL style. Don't get me wrong...I love people....it's just that my RL is more where I focus my socializing....SL is purely for my own artistic gluttony.

Not what I thought this thread would be about -- "lifestyle" has a meaning all its own in the real world and there are SL groups related to it.

Sometimes I'm a basset hound. Not a furry or a tiny, just a regular sized quadruped if somewhat cartoonish basset hound. Does that count as a lifestyle? I can scratch myself and pee on things when I get bored.

Sometimes I'm a very tall daddy-longlegs-like robot thing. (For you British folk, daddy-longlegs means a spindly legged spider thing to us Americans. It's also called a harvestman. You use the name for what we would call a crane fly.) Sometimes I'm a very small vacuum cleaner robot thing.

Maybe there's a shape shifter or avatar collector lifestyle.

I am a BDSM domme who doesn't keep any slaves/pets and proprietress of an adult RP sim (and host of several others) who doesn't RP. I discovered BDSM online but decided I didn't find the online stuff personally satisfying, so I really only indulge that side of me with a couple of real-life friends now. (Just got back from a mind-blowing trip to visit one of those friends.

) Also, I love my SL partner with my RL heart, and she and I have a very special, very private, relationship.

I have a stack of avatars, but I usually go for the odd and funny, rather than anything specific to some sort of roleplay. That's not really a Lifestyle. I guess I don't have one the way the OP would define it. I'm just in it for fun. I have good friends who support me and for whom I would do just about anything, good places to relax and hangout, listen to music, and an entire world to explore and enjoy without the monetary or physical restrictions of real life. That's my lifestyle.

Since I was accused of SPAM in another thread, I'll just say I love playing a Pregnant Goddess and wouldnt trade it for the world other than maybe a stint as a feature dancer.

I have a unique lifestyle in SL...

I'm a Mark I EMH.

I don't engage in online sex, I don't have deviant acts listed among my groups (unless you count the VRML), I don't go out of my way to get beaten by someone, and my female alt doesn't have big boobs. I don't belong to any real subcultures: I am not a tiny, a kid, an animal or part animal, I don't have two pairs of ears, my alt LIKES her SL hair instead of thousand-strand prim hair, and no, I do not belong - nor plan to belong - to any Star Trek role play group.
I explore the mainland as well as private sims with interesting overhead designs on the map to marvel at the creativity of residents and artists. However I won't go into their homes unless welcome to do so.

I think this all adds up to my being a real outcast in Second Life. I've often been made to feel that my not pursuing what others pursue are grounds to look down on what I do as though I represent a lifestyle they despise. Fortunately I know a GREAT diversity of folks who don't mind one way or the other what others do. They're definitely more my speed. They don't take slack.

Dont know, but the last time I visited a Harry Potter themed sim to check out the shops, I was attacked by a prominent member of their RP group, caged, and flung out of the sim. It was not the the role play section but where vendors rented space to sell merch. I have not been back there since and have no plans to ever return. Maybe that's the place? It might have earned a reputation...

I wouldn't say I have a unique lifestyle as such. I'm just a girl. (hehe, now I have No Doubt stuck in my head)
I'm sometimes the girl next door, sometimes the bad girl who corrupts, sometimes goth, sometimes I'm this wierd squiggly sphere thing.
I have a few different avs, from Marvin the Martian to a tiny bikini-clad teddybear, loads of outfits and many looks, but I don't ever have a tan. I'm pale. Thats it....with freckles...and mad hair

I'm neko mostly, Queen of the Aliens occasionally, always taking pics of me and/or everyone else. I hangout at the forum hangout, build wierd things and delete them, start things that I dont finish. And I spend far too much time in SL and the forums.
Apparantly I'm the Forum Darling

Oh, and I also seem to have a mouth that gets me into trouble more often than not....just look at the sigs round here if you don't beleive me and you'll get an idea lol.

EDIT: Oo and I forgot! I founded Ann's fan club! hehe

(hehe, now I have No Doubt stuck in my head) I'm sometimes the girl next door, sometimes the bad girl who corrupts, sometimes goth, sometimes I'm this wierd squiggly sphere thing. I have a few different avs, from Marvin the Martian to a tiny bikini-clad teddybear, loads of outfits and many looks, but I don't ever have a tan. I'm pale. Thats it....with freckles...and mad hair I'm neko mostly, Queen of the Aliens occasionally, always taking pics of me and/or everyone else. I hangout at the forum hangout, build wierd things and delete them, start things that I dont finish. And I spend far too much time in SL and the forums. Apparantly I'm the Forum Darling Oh, and I also seem to have a mouth that gets me into trouble more often than not....just look at the sigs round here if you don't beleive me and you'll get an idea lol.
