Do you have an SL lifestyle that is unique? Here's your chance to talk about your lifestyle and possibly share a landmark for those interested in exploring alternate SL lifestyles. Lifestyles I know of include:
weres
vampires
BDSM
Gorean
families
aliens
Harry Potter RP
Goth
Ghosty Kips
Elora's Llama

With the possible exception of Harry Potter or families, which you just don't see a whole lot of, none of the lifestyles in that list are "unique".

In fact, I can't swing a dead neko without hitting a vampire, a goth or, some days, a Greenie.

Well I was green for my first 2 weeks in SL or so, then switched to blue and never looked back. So I guess that's your answer. :)

I'm a demon trying to fit into this crazy human world. So I don't do demony things anymore. Strictly human. Well, I do have the soul of the director who butchered Aliens 4 in a jar, and I've been known to shake it for light when the power fails, but otherwise, strictly human... though the horns and tail keeps growing back, but people are generally too polite to say anything.

My AV is a woman who is normal-looking. You know, average size, average proportions. Wearing hair of a colour actually found in nature. More than 10% of my body is clothed, on average.

Not going to classify as unique, obviously but: there are surprisingly few of us around....sadly.

I was going to say "me too" because I am a short, chubby, and modest madhu, until you got to the part about colors found in nature.

Oops.

Well it does seem like women who are not built like Amazons (um, well mostly like Amazons) or like supermodels are the exception rather than the rule in SL, and when I see them they definitely catch my eye.

But I guess folks express different aspects of themselves in SL, and what you see tells you something about the parts of themselves they want to express in a medium that gives them complete control over their appearance. I'm not tall, leggy, or half-naked in SL because I don't feel comfortable that way. I guess that says something about me, too.

My av is one of those perfectly beautiful ones. Since we can all look any way we like in SL, I see no reason not be be young, beautiful, and have a body as if I spend 8 hours a day in the gym. Whether these are typical or not must depend on where you hang out. My SL experience has been spent mostly hanging at places like Sweetheart's, Frank's, Bogart's, or Phat Cat's where it seems that beautiful and perfect avs are the norm.

Well, yes, I took Macha's point to be that these "perfect" avs are the norm in most of SL. Whether they are beautiful or not is matter of personal taste.

Oooh. You are playing with fire, Rose.

Do not giggle at the Domme. The Domme might not like it. You don't want to see the Domme when she is angry. (Or maybe you do. Or think you do. If so, having duly warned you, I leave you to your fate.)

Love, you KNOW you should come with a warning label.

/smiles and waves at Macha :)

Yea, I'm one of those 10% in Macha's group. Normal, clothed most of the time (occassionally disrobed, but rarely), nothing unusual about me at all. Girl next door who occassionally gets a little wild when with the right (wrong? hehe) crowd. Most of my flights of fancy have more to do with photography reasons.
