Restricted logins can also mean restricted to Lindens only.
Also, you might need to check you have up-to-date payment info on file. |

Why bother being a paying member?
06-08-2008 14:47
Yup -- same here.
I see no benefit in paying for a membership when non-paying members get to stay in-world. This sucks -- on my way to canceling my membership now! Lindens better start paying more attention to paying members before they are left with only the non-paying folks to troll the sims. I can continue with my business as usual by paying tier to a private sim owner without all of the floating eye sores. Buh bye! |

Update 2:36 p.m. We have closed logins until the database recovers... When you are on a crashing plane it doesn't matter if you have a first class ticket |

Everyone is restricted whilst they sort out issues. Check the status page, which they should have a bloody link for on the tool bar by community and support etc.

It's a technical issue, logins are restricted to Linden Lab employees. It's nothing to do with your account type or status.

Overbooked!
06-08-2008 14:51
When you are on a crashing plane it doesn't matter if you have a first class ticket The way I see it is that Lindens have more passengers than they can handle. They need to quit over booking and take care of their first class riders! |

I know there are several users who had to enter payment info even though they've never needed to actually pay (usually because they were making enough money in-world to pay their fees) so this may apply to lifetimers too. |

The message I'm getting is "login failed. Due to high load, logins are temporarily disabled. Please try again in a few minutes". |

Rubbish.
Do a little research before making assumptions about non-premium users. Show us the the numbers and statistics that prove we spend and contribute less than you first class type folk. Until you show us the facts, you're talking out of your ass. This effort to invoke some kind of class distinction between premium and basic account holders is old, tiresome and offensive. The way I see it is that Lindens have more passengers than they can handle. They need to quit over booking and take care of their first class riders! _____________________

Please try again in a few minutes". I'm getting this message now too. It certainly makes it sound like there is favoritism going on rather than a maintenance-induced total freeze on log-ins. They need to tell us which one it is so people don't get their panties all in a knot. |

Give me a break - favouritism??? Goodness. Zaphod is right but i didn't want to say it so bluntly. Being a premum member has nothing to do with your place in the queue. And yes I am a premium member |

Since I am having internet issues it matter not - but I could log in this morning. Now I have the try back in a few message and yes I too am a premium member- so no- it doesn't matter who you are or what you pay - it is when you decided to attempt the log in.

And yes I am a premium member Do neither of you remember that a policy was put in place a while ago wherein at times when log-ins were to be restricted, premiums were supposed to be able to get in first? Not that it was ever used, to anyone's knowledge - but that's why some people think that when that error message comes up, they should be able to get in first. |

Excuse me for making assumptions -- but why should I spend $72 more than you for no benefits? Oh yay $72, cry us a river. I'm a non premium account, yet I spend on average $100 per month on SL, I'm not bragging, but please, explain to us how your so much more a valuable customer than some non-premium account holders? |
