The same thoughts expressed in this article occurred to me nearly a year ago, as I was first becoming active in SL. Virtual worlds like this would make very good media for secretly and anonymously passing money, messages, or instructions among co-conspirators worldwide. And notice it was Linden Lab that approached the feds with concerns.

I'm glad people are thinking about this - and for once, before the train wreck.

I'm surprised the New York Times didn't get that one. They're usually good at those scare mongering stories.

The first few words of the article is enough to make you realize it's the idiots in charge of this. Arent these the same guys who said "HEY! Iraq has WMDs!!!"

Just cuz you're not paranoid doesnt mean they're not out to get you!

You know people love to toss that around -

But nearly EVERYONE before the war thought Iraq had WMDs .. Even those countries opposed to the invasion.

As well as Iraq's neighbor countries, former Iraqis, AL Queda and so on.

I'm officially announcing my availability to the highest bidder for any and all espionage related assignments. Trout Junior? Oh right. I've seen daughters with the same name as mothers, but you very rarely see a daughter called junior or II, or III or Elizabeth II. So, I guess that in and of itself makes Trout male. Or that rare female situation. Or royalty.
