you spelt pies incorrectly!
"Intelligence Officials See 3-D Online Worlds as Havens for Criminals"
actually that's amazing! criminals in England used to hide in Spain, now they can travel to a virtual world to hide from the police?

If hoping for the day when all WAR is fought in Virtual Reality and the terrorists, Criminals and Intelligence agencies have no real life.

LOL I can see it now... government officials from each country meet up at a public location in SL. "Thats it! ....we've had enough of your shenanigans! And if there wasn't so much lag here right now...why I'd...I'd....shoot you right where you stand...although you are still shown as sitting in my client.....hmmm Meet me in Call of Duty 4...you know the server....and make sure you show up this time. I don't want to have to report back to my commanding officer that you failed to show again. ...and don't forget...if you win then we will back off on the trade embargo, and if we win then you will promise to release the prisoners and move your troops back inside your borders."

As I have been selling a lot more dark sunglasses lately, I must conclude this is clearly becoming a genuine issue.

Hmm wonder if its legit. The American government also started a war in Iraq because of weapons of mass destruction too when they were suppose to be looking for Bin Laddin else where. None of my friends are trading information about how to do terrorist activities or methods to declare war on the rl world.

*snickers* Okay, so the next form of griefing will be actual terrorists trying to plot their RL activities using SL as a simulator. Man, the terrorists would be in for a major surprise when the RL sims don't crash as easily as the SL versions.

Now Joe Paranoid will wonder when the Big Boobed Bimbo won't voice or send a RL pic if she is not only a guy, but maybe a terrorist.

Every new frontier is a haven for criminals...America was a haven for criminals after being discovered...the wild west was a haven for criminals after being discovered..Im sure somewhere off in the distant future criminals will be smart and stupid enough to be the first people on space stations...scamming aliens out of "something".
so..if we don't learn from our past we are doomed to repeat it?...does that apply?
Oh yea and this is BIG news...there is nothing new under the sun.

If its "Oh Allah, OH Allah, Oh Jihad!, Death to America!" then its a terrorist. If they're really here, we know who they're going to be after first . And in the interests of not getting blown up, I really didn't laugh at that. Not at all. Not even a snigger.

3 inches and they are done for.
The Post wont like that. 3 inches? The first snow flake seems to drive people insane. 80 gallons of water, kitty litter, bread, milk, the supermarkets end up stripped bare. The roads jam pack with people now drving 2 miles per hour as a few flakes of white stuff float around The horror is when it is super windy . . . and you later learn that it didn't really snow. Which is different from actual snowy conditions - when the ground has say, 3 inches of snow - then people drive either faster or 2 miles an hour; it is mildly interesting drving along 2 miles an hour behind someone and looking around for a way to get out from behind that stupid lane and watch as someone zips past going 70 . . . skids, hits the curb, and flips three times).

The CIA must be really bored.
or... hey, now we know who's commissioning the creation of all those spying gadgets in SL!
I mean, honestly, can you see terrorists using SL as a training and recruiting and meeting ground?
"Oh no, I can't get in, the login in page won't load. I'll be late for my test flight."
"Oh, Allah, SL's really borked tonight. The scripts in this helicopter are all screwy."
"Sorry, can't TP to the meeting, SL's latest release buggered the TPs."
I dunno.
Yeah, CIA are bored.
