i do the forum thing from work when i need a distraction--as i am now :)

Because of the nature of my job, I do have SL installed on my computer, but the computer can't handle it well. Which is a good thing. So I don't log on too much, unless I need to check something out for work, give a demonstration, or to tend to a personal "emergency".

There is also the Ajax viewer, ive got it to run at work (through Government firewalls) as its just a java (i think) viewer that runs inside internet explorer there is nothing to install.

only problem is its text only.. so you cant move or interact with the SL world, but you can chat, sent IM's and play with your inventory with it

I read the forums at work. I very rarely log in to sl from here, although I use my own computer at work and have sl installed on one of the work computers.

I would never install SL on my work computer, so no, I do not play SL while at work. However, I do frequent the forums (fora?) while at work.

I use a private (although company owned) laptop at work, so instead of cigarette breaks (like my co-workers) I pop into the forums or log on. Plus, I work very long hours, so it is impossible for me to be involved in SL without being at work.

The joys of being a non-smoker. (=_=) I enjoy my little forum breaks I take every half hour while my bigwigs are out blackening their lungs. (^_^)y

Welll... my inventory does need sorting something fierce. I've had jobs where managing my inventory (weeding out LMs, filing notecards) would be slightly less stultifying than waiting for something to cross my desk...

Yep, I'm at work as I type this. I read the forums at work every day, usually while grabbing some lunch. I honestly probably wouldn't read them otherwise. I'm too busy in SL when at home ^.^

I do have the viewer installed on a flash drive should I need to log in for some emergency, but that doesn't happen very often.

Forums from work... (Not for long though...will only peek occasionally since my work load has increased tremendously) I will wind up being a lurker from here on out.
And I log into SL (in-world) from home.

All game sites are blocked from work and they do it very very efficiently - no SL login and no forums. However, I can use the GoToMyPC product to get back to my home computer from work and log into the forums that way. I even logged into SL once that way, but the lag was absolutely horrid, so I ditched that idea right away. That is probably a good thing really - on the days when I do work from home, if I am not extremely busy or really in to what I'm suppose to be doing, I have a hard time resisting the pull of SL.

Are you guys kidding?

My phone has two states:
1. I'm on it talking to someone who is in dire need of immediate help.
2. Ringing.

I have two types of emails.
1. Dire emergencies
2. Really old dire emergencies.

And I work for the management team of Stalin and Vader.

I work at a place where anything but web access is not possible.
I use IM to email bridge and my gmail address to talk to people inworld. Obviously I can get access to the forums too.

I sometimes use AjaxLife to log inworld but I find what I can do so limited that I do not use it very often.

You know all those stories about executives lounging around in their offices and goofing off? They may not just be stories.^.^

Logging into SL from work is a good way to attract the attention of the IT guys, because it uses so much bandwidth.
