See what I mean? Now Herzog doesn't think I'm cool any more :(

.

It would take much, much more than a motley bunch of spaniel impersonators to make me think you uncool :)

I have the windows wide open to enjoy our bright, sunny 70 F day here in Los Angeles.

Oh, wait. You were asking people from the North East. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to rub it in. :D

Rub what in?

I live in So. Cal also and I am jealous of you peeps who have a chance to take a snow day to play SL:)

Better close those windows, your letting in all the LA smog, not to mention someone maybe casing your place for a robbery

You both may have a point. Maybe it's not so great afterall. I'll ponder it later today as I'm sitting on the beach enjoying the sound of the waves.

Sunni, we are SO OWED some snow. Not ice, not sleet, not "wintry mix"....SNOW!!!!

Tell me about it.
/me sighs, thinks, perks up
I remember a big blizzard in March back in 1996! Maybe there's still hope.....peers outside, hopefully, where it's 52 degrees. Meh. Might as well just bring on spring, winter has been a total wash in PA.

I thought yall got hammered up there during the first half of this winter. Or did you just get ice and not snow?

I'm in south-central PA, although Northwest PA probably did get a bunch. No, here it's been rain/sleet/freezing rain/a little snow. That's it. Enough to make it muddy, slushy and sloppy, but not enough to go out and play.

Serious quandary here!
Like much of the US North West, I'm pretty much snowed in here in this town. I work at a branch office in a town 45 minutes away.

So, the question arises, when the prospect of spending extra time in-world is so very tantalizing, how do you deal with the SL addiction?
I have the good angel and bad angel sitting on my shoulders, whispering furiously.

What are all the North-Westeners doing?

B.

Location: Canada...US Northwest...Wait, did we FINALLY colonize BC? Geesh. It took us long enough! I, for one, welcome our neighbor to the north into the Union! You guys will make a GREAT state! Now you get to have dollar bills!

I'm about as Northwest in the continental US as you can get here in NW Washington and it's beautiful here. Blue skies, cold, but not freezing. We haven't had snow in at least a month, and then it was barely snow at all. Where in the NW are you? I want a snow day!

That stinks.
So, no snow in RL. Maybe a visit to a winter sim or two would help.

Is there any place to ski in SL?

Wow, this tread went on all day and I finally realized that I don't even know where I am.

I meant, of course North EAST, not west.
And I mentioned the US, Trout, because they bore the brunt of the storm. I only got dumped on because I'm close to the Lakes.

Keep your litigious hands off my Canada, Recreant!

I voted for "Work at home while spending most of the time in the SL forums" because that is my norm if the weather is bad and I don't feel like hassling with the drive. Today I did work from home because of the ice & snow on the roads, but surprise of all things, I actually think I worked more than posted/read this time.

It was 75F Sunday. Monday we got a few flurries but the temp never got below 35F. We don't get snow days here. Maybe once every 5 years we have a delayed start but that's about it.
We were in the 70's Sat (though I was skiing in the mountains and therefore missed most of it) and the snow hit Sun, but we didn't get above 33 that day. And that is very typical for late winter / early spring in Colorado.

Got it - NE. I wasn't trying to call you out on a mistake, I just looked out the window and got confused.

I don't want all of Canada, just British Columbia. I like to go fishing there and clearing customs is a PITA. Plus, the people are very nice and it's a beautiful place. They make for excellent neighbors. Too bad Homeland Security put up banlines.
