Rooster, I've got a notecard with many listed. I'll drop them to you next time I'm in world.

Would it be possible to send me one of those, too. My husband has been looking for clothes, and it's hard. Everything he seems to find is either really formal, or something he just doesn't like. I tried helping him, but was running into the same roadblocks. But since I normally search for clothes for me, maybe I'm not using the right search "keywords". But I would appreciate any hints.

Hey Bradley. If it's not too much trouble, can I get a copy as well?

I have a couple of skirts, non-prim, that hang on me like Saturn's Rings. I expand my hips and they grow out too. I wish I could resize the skirt but they're non-mod. I'm never going to buy non-mod again.

Min's right. Non-prim skirts make you look, as one poster put it, like you're smuggling puppies in there. They can't be made closer-fitting, either.

The solution: Modify your shape. Reduce your hips and derriere size (I use about 27 to 29 on the hip slider, 4 on the butt). Save the new shape and use it when wearing skirts.

Thankyou Min and Lindal :)

Sheesh! I spend more time adjusting my shape than moving it!

BTW do you guys really know any good clothes shops for blokes?

First off... Bradley, I'd really like a copy of that notecard too :)

Second...

Really good clothes shop for blokes: Blaze

Pretty good clothes shops for blokes: MIA, AnnDe's Designs

At least, those are the ones that come to mind. I'll ask my partner next time I see him as well; he may know of a few.

Simone is also good quality for men's clothes. Have to find the right part of the island, but worth the look. I've found many good ones for "blokes" but Simone and Blaze are the only two that immediately spring to mind.

These short shirts and low pants are common. They're much worse when they're not modifiable.

Don't buy non-mod anything as you'll get stuck with not being able to change it the way you like. Example: Pants that come too tight for men. You either wear them like that or you let them rot in your inventory. Either way you lose out.

There's no logic for making clothes non mod. The people who make clothes say they don't want their items changed by those who purchase them. I think these people forget once they sell their wares it doesn't belong to them anymore and the purchaser can do as they wish.

If the pants were drawn in the graphics program as low riders, even if you had full mod rights to the pants, they would not change with the sliders. It's very rude advice to say "don't buy non-mod anything" since a LOT of stuff is non-mod. I've personally never had a problem with no-mod stuff because I look at the pictures very closely before I buy.

I sent off my notecard to everyone who requested one. Maybe I should work as a fashion consultant. :p I've also pasted below everything off the notecard except I left off the couple of stores that I recommend not going to. Happy Shopping!

*First, my all time favorite place:

Lapointe, Evocative (123,129,21)

They have two different mens stores there. One is very goth. The other called Urban Men's is more mainstream but gothy too.

**Not my favorite but cheap (good for newbies):

Gritzi Designs, Philereme (191,161,55)
BareRose, Bare Rose (166,48,30)
Wild Thing, British Isles (42,215,25)
Granny Wouldn't Like It, Wales dAlliez (43,204,25)

**Stores I like that are more mainstream:

Colt, Plush Delta (43,99,22)
Manhunt Mall, Tharen South (117,61,34)
Lions Square (primarily Jungle Wear), Superior (161,57,56)
The Block (primarily FORM & Desert Moon), Varado (130,167,38)
Moonshine Clothing Company, Silver Lake (27,198,39)
SF Design, Lotus (228,217,140)
LUXURY by Vindi Vindaloo (Primarily formal & costumes), Plus Kappa (61,77,23)
Naughty Island Mens Clothes, Naughty Island (19,130,23)
Head-Toe, Boracay Island (171,162,22)

**Stores that I like that are a little wilder (body suits, etc):

DE Designs (has mainstream stuff too), DE Designs (87,139,38)
Cytranized Designs, Yangbaechu (113, 224,55)
GOTHICA, Exotica Island (231,156,29)

**Shoes:
Shiny Things, Shiny Falls (173,181,37)
SF Design, Lotus (228,217,140)
DE Designs (has mainstream stuff too), DE Designs (87,139,38)

This discussion came up in another thread. Apparently it's easier to tell with women than men. It is very difficult to tell the difference in the picture. You're right though, mod/no mod wont make a difference.
