From: Malia Writer I'm on Wyrlsong, I think a newer sim, and my neighbors and I would like to see some nice neighbors move in... and help us save the area from ugly garbage! There are several of us with Asian-themed preferences, trying to make it beautiful.
We are surrounded on two sides by For Sale parcels, mostly 1024 and 896, but we have all bought as much land as we can without raising tier. (And I am still considering buying more... hellllllpppp meeeee....) You can rent tier instead of tiering up. Contact Skye Whitcroft inworld. Finding others with similar visions to be your neighbors is the best insurance against mainland blight.

Molay was ok last time I was out there, it could have changed by now but the land there is a little bit more expensive. Bedos isn't too bad, both are sparsley populated.
Omanix isn't bad either.

Finding others with similar visions to be your neighbors is the best insurance against mainland blight. But how do you find neighbours with a similar vision to yours? That's the problem.

From: Chas Connolly But how do you find neighbours with a similar vision to yours? That's the problem. I think it starts with one large landowner who attracts new ones. Carlisle is a great example. Botany's Campground set the tone. Pahoe Jade added a quarter sim of attractive builds. Then I came in and bought a third of the sim and kept it nice. The folks who have come in after were attracted to the beauty and created stuff to match ours. A rare occurance, as are sales on that mainland sim. It's also got another rare plus: it's an island on the mainland. Stories like this are few and far between for smaller plot owners...

I'm in the Southwest corner of Padan, and there are about five 512 lots for sale right around me. It would be easy enough to buy two and combine them, though the highest priced ones (naturally) are right in the middle so you'd have to buy one of them.
There is one 512 cut up into ad plots kitty-corner to me, but it's not the most obnoxious one I've ever seen. My little lot's just got a few trees on it right now, as I'm spending most of my time on my sky platform. There are big walls right against the border on both sides, but on the whole it feels more sheltering than ugly, at least to me.
Also, can't remember the names, but if you pull up Padan on the map and scroll over a couple sims to the west, I think I saw a couple of 1024s for sale at very reasonable prices. From the map, it looks as though the 16 sqm scourge may have missed those entirely so far. If I get in-world, I'll see if I can't get the names of the sims for you.

From: Cristalle Karami True, but this method takes less time, makes greater percent return on investment, and provides plenty of lulz. Close, but IMHO it's all about the lulz, Even if it lost money, messing with someone else is priceless to these jerks.

From: spinster Voom Failing that, what about somewhere around here? That looks perfect! LOL. No fear of that being cut up into a bunch of garbage at all. Isn't that on Corsica? Sad to see that the newest continent is quickly becoming the ugliest. What a lost opportunity.

Bradley, I'm pretty sure that there is really nice land still available in Gloecker (I think that's it) near my friends cottage. There was some alien sex dungeon there, but she just went out of business and is selling of her land.
My friend bought some of it to add to his property, but the rest is still available. No ad farms that I'm aware of (I could be wrong, but I've landed in there by mistake a couple of times in bad tp's) and the other neighbor is a nice guy that has a small amusement park which is down near water close by (very cute in fact). If you want to take a look, let me know and I'll find out better info for you.

From: Raymond Figtree Bradley, A couple of suggestions:
-Start at an older established sim like Carlisle or Achemon and fly around from there with your map on.
-Describe the specs of what you are looking for to a broker like Gwendolyn, Sarah, Sammy, Joy, Skye or Thai and ask them to keep an eye out for you (if you need last names, PM me).
-Go about five pages deep in land search sorted by price and see if you get lucky.
Good luck,
Ray That's what I did - I started at the very tip of the first continent and started flying (I had also used land search, but this specific parcel that I had found was not found through land search). Found some amazing builds I hadn't heard of before. Then found a great parcel for the right amount of money and bought it. Before buying I looked over the Sim, and found that the land was directly next door to a friend. I had been to his land several times, but never left it to wander the sim, and actually thought he was on a private island. I'll resume my "around the world in a short 365 billion years" shortly after I finish putting in the art gallery.

I would have started on the southern continent to get a Class 5 server.

From: Cristalle Karami I would have started on the southern continent to get a Class 5 server. I was actually trying to get away from looking for land (which I have been doing seemingly for months now) and just wanted to do the "around the world" thing, and ran across something that works for me.

From: Bradley Bracken No, I'm looking for something very small. Probably only 1024. It's for a store that I want and I want to have fun doing this and not be looking at ugly landscape.
Raymonds idea is working out well so far. It does look like I'll have to spend more than I was expecting. We'll see. Right now I"m just getting my feet wet. Bradley, I noticed yesterday that Loepa has a little parcel for sale. Don't know if it's still there but it's worth a check. I own a quarter sim and my friend Felycitie owns another quarter and the rest is very nicely landscaped gardens n stuff.

From: spinster Voom Mooalao, where I live, and surrounding sims, is all quite nice - criss-crossed with proper Linden roads and waterways. I found it by taking the road south from NCI Kuula. Most of the land down there is remarkably pleasant (at the moment), but I haven't looked for a while at how much is up for sale - it tends to be isolated parcels, which is probably a good sign. Failing that, what about somewhere around here? I used to own land in Hachimantai. It was a few months back when it was just a sloped granite sim with nothing to be seen for hundreds of metres. I bought cheap land there with intentions of developing an Asian-style mall area, but things just sprang up so quickly around the land, things got inhibitive quickly. I got walled in by renters, clubs and malls, and when the neighbors started doing stuff that got more intrusive than parcel boundaries allow, I decided it was time to get out. Funny, now that I see your screencap here, I see that the land I sold is once again up for sale. There seems to be an incredibly high turnover in that region. Slightly less in Hachimantai because most of the parcels were 1024 or larger, but still pretty bad. This particular area is rife with mostly commercial builds and adfarms and has been for months.
