Just a thought...

There's an assumption above that people can get 'free' land in Zindra and sell their old mainland that is the basis for the swap to the free land.
Maybe or maybe not - did some Linden post that people can sell? If they can, it could be seen as some compensation for having to move.
Is there a switch that they can pull that would prevent a parcel from being set for sale?

The KB article that is the Gospel on "Details for landowners on migrating to Zindra" is silent on the matter
https://support.secondlife.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=4417&task=knowledge&questionID=6345
"At the end of the two weeks, if you have not indicated you want to retain the existing parcel(s), we'll reclaim them and return all objects on the parcel to the owners (unless the sole object left is a landmark giver). "

Actually, the "Details for landowners on migrating to Zindra""KB article is silent on a lot of detail. :)

It's an interesting incentive to abandon that I hadn't previously considered. If they care about stabilising the market they might want to consider other incentives so that most land is abandoned rather than sold. I don't think most people will consider some crappy landmark giver to be worth any significant amount of money.
Many of them spent quite a bit of time and money building up their traffic rating in the first place. Getting to take advantage of that during an extended transition period can't be completely dismissed.

"They'll self-identify themselves as somebody who is eligible for a free relocation to the adult continent. They'll be asked a number of questions on that ticket flow. One of them will be whether or not they want to keep the parcel they currently have on the mainland. "

Cut out a 16M square at your old landing point, put the landmark giver there, and sell the rest.

Keep Agni beautiful.

I think there will be so much land on offer that the landbots will be targeting certain types of sims. Why swoop on granite mountain if beachfront is going to be dumped?

Most landbots aren't that clever.

I daresay that someone might raise their IQ a bit in the circumstances.
