At risk of reopening the conversation we had on Brenda's patio; maybe it's because those of us who don't experience these problems just think you're all lying :D

How did you know that? You weren't there. Were you talking to that Dickhead that showed up uninvited?

I would think that it has to start getting to LL financially at some point. I was looking at the stats -- looking at what they paid in Stipends in July compared to the first half of August.

https://secure-web8.secondlife.com/whatis/economy_stats.php

I think that all stipend payments are paid out only to 'paying residents'? If that is the case, and assuming that all stipend payments are weekly (none of them being end-of-month stuff), then it really looks like they have had a big decrease in the number of premium accounts. We are half way thru Aug and they have only paid 1/5 of the stipend amount that they paid in July. If premium accounts decrease, then so would land tiers - you have to own land to pay tier and you have to be premium to buy land. Isn't membership and land tier where they make their money?

Many of those going basic either bought private islands (pi's) or rent on pi's. This has been argued many times before but the upshot has to be that to avoid serious lag the pi is the way to go. LL will make less money out of pi's than mainland sims; maybe there will be more abandoned land on the mainland.

Another maintainance day, another promise of a more stable grid, another day of yet more lag, wonky prims and crashes, another day of taking 3 times as long to get anything accomplished. Here is my question, just how many years of poor performance does it take till someone gets fired and replaced with some one who can do a better job. I realize this is a harsh question, i am talking about some one's RL job, but seriously, what does it take till LL gets staff that can do a better job? This last month in sl has been truely piss poor, lol, the last year has been piss poor.
What does it take?

What makes you think that it's a matter of staff doing nothing compared to not enough staff? Are you in upper management? Our company decided to reduce maintenance by one fitter and cancelling overtime as well, hmm "production lines are down who's fixing it?" No one, one fitter is on holidays and the other went home early because you made him work through lunch and he's not allowed to do overtime, think of the money you are saving with 12 production people standing around doing nothing :P

Upper management put a demountable shed blocking our workshop driveway, then asked why we couldn't get stillages into the weldingbay to repair anymore and didn't use the shed for 6 months anyway.
