I just wanted to login with my main avatar today but on the screen i just got a pop up with this message:

Login failed
We are unable to complete your request at this time.
Please contact SL Suppot for assistence at ..blabla bla
If you are unable to change your passwort, please call (the very expensive number...)

after that i tryed to login on secondlife.com i just got the message that my account has been disabled by linden lab,...i have contacted the support immediatly...

has anyone experience with that i really fear to lose my best account and i really don't know what i have done wrong i'am playing for almost one year and never something like that has happend to me. does anyone know if my account is already lost or will i get it back after some days? ...

I would keep trying every hour or two - maybe wait until tomorrow and see if it's still disabled. It could just be a glitch.

Does an account disable automatically if you type in the wrong password more than a certain number of times? Perhaps someone knows. I'm thinking like if one has caps lock on or something.

So, what did you do to get banned?

Linden Labs only disables an account if you made them very angry.
You don't get banned if you keep yourself to the rules.

So I guess if it's a false ban, then you get your account back. If you did something really bad, you might not. And you shouldn't.

There are other reasons why your account gets disabled - like suspicion of illegal transactions, which might actually protect you. I know a couple of people who have had their avatars suspended because their passwords were hacked and money stolen from them.

How long has it been since you logged this account in? If I recall a while back there was a security scare or breach and many accounts were being forced to change their passwords..
I would try changing passwords and going thru the new security steps they put in .. This could be why but Call LL and ask

I looked up the name you're using here in-world in people search and it's still there. So the account doesn't appear to have been deleted like happens when residents get permanently banned.

You don't need to repeat that in the other boards. People can read.

Similar thing happend to me before. I have no clue how but supposedly someone changed my RL info to some weird name with numbers in it as I was told. That can not be done online. Perhaps some database problem.

To fix that (and assuming you did not get banned for violation of ToS) you need to call them. They will explain to you at the phone what to do.

i am from germany i won't call the expensive number which isn't free for me.
i have also checked my avatar with an alt my main avatar isn't in search because i haven't ticket the box but i still can find it in main search

I realise that but I think I'm right in saying that if LL ban someone they ban all the accounts at the same IP address, so the fact that Amila is still there indicates that you have not been banned (for example because someone made a malicious or mistaken AR).

I've seen this mentioned before, but do they really ban by IP address? If so it'd be stupid because many people do NOT have a fixed IP address. Mine, for instance, is randomly assigned every time I reconnect to my ISP. So they'd be blocking the wrong households in many cases.

I believe IP bans are done only in the most extreme cases of abuse. Often accounts are banned and people can come right back as an alt.

Routine reminder: You can call US toll-free numbers for no charge via Skype, from anywhere in the world. (Also works on UK "freephone" numbers, as well).

If you've got a headset/mic that you use for SL Voice, it will work just fine with Skype. If not, if you do buy one for Skype, you can use it in SL too.

Fill out a ticket with LL.

Make sure you use the "basic and guest accounts" ticket type (from the first drop down). If you don't do that correctly, the ticket gets bounced back unread! Let them know what is going on with as much info as you can, what you were doing last in SL.

I had a bad crash of my account last Friday. LL did get to my ticket and continued troubleshooting my account into the wee hours. They even re-opened the ticket, after I managed to get in, because they traced a bug to something that caused my crash. They disabled my account briefly -- "hijacked it," their words - took my avi out for a spin and looked through my logs. I wasn't on when they disabled my account but got emails from LL about it.

So, contact them and find out what is up. They will get to your ticket.

Edit: you can find your account blocked because someone reported you as underage, because you're premium and you missed a renewal or tier payment (which can happen if there was a glitch at your bank or paypal, which is why I keep at least a couple of months worth of US$credit at all times), or for a few other reasons that have nothing to do with "keeping yourself to the rules".

For what its worth, they have disabled my account for a brief period several times (fifteen minutes and said so) and once longer, because I logged in when they didn't want me to (server reboot and rather than simply wait, I kept trying). That said, the long one was only an hour, best I could tell. Maybe just a glitch in implementation. Not sure if there is ever a time when they disable accounts for technical reasons that impacts a certain group of individuals or just one person.

I cannot help you get the account back. You'll have to contact Linden Lab, as others have said.
But you can help me if you want. I would like to know if your disappearing account is related to a recent purge of 700,000 accounts that the SLNameWatch.com census bot has noticed in the last two weeks. (See the link I posted earlier.)
Could you please answer the following questions
What was the name of the main account? If you're not comfortable telling us, then please at least share the LAST name.
What was the sl born date?
DId you have a valid email address associated with the account at all times?
Did you use your real name when you signed up or did you lie about your real name?

Perhaps you should follow instructions instead of asking people who cannot help you? The login failure tells you exactly what you need to do. If you don't feel like calling long distance or international, odds are you're SOL.

I have had this thing too .. and it were not the Lindens.. it was a hacker...
My accaunt was hacked in August and i lost my money.. my whole inventury and my mainstore... even my account was canceled.
I was calling to Florida (from Germany !!) and i get my account back and after the 3rd call even my money. But i have not get my inventury yet. They said they can see that my whole inventury was going to one avatar... they see the items!! why they cannot return them to me?
I cant call every day to Florida and ask whats up.. i was written 4 abuse reports now cause on the phone they said it would be better to write an abuse report cause they are going directly somewhere..i did not get a response. Now i wrote a support ticket.. and after a few days....the answer :

Dear Irischka.

Unfortunately, we do not have the technical ability to restore inventory items to your account once they have been sent to another one.

The men which i was talking on the phone said that it is possible. But will take some time.. i think 5 months are enough! It makes no difference for me HOW you should do this... but i know that you can. this items are just UUIDs for you... and when you can see every item and know to which avatar they go.. you can bring it back too... At least one of the Lindens can log in with this ava and sent me the items back.... !!! Or give me the ava.. and i will do that... you dont think i shall get my stuff back? This asshole hack my acc , get my money , my whole inventuryand my mainstore...and i am sure the only thing LL did is ban him/her ... what do you think how fast he/she is standing again here with a new acc? and i have to make all new! build my mainstore and upload the textures in this laggie game?? You know how much an inventury about 10000 items without freebies cost? and how much time and money it cost to create own stuff? and how much nervs of course cause of our loving laggs?.... so i beggin you to not deport me with this type of answer ... at least i have the right on his/hers ava to get my items back !and please look if he transfered the no transfer items too.... (would dont know how, but he is a hacker)
When he didnt.. and just deleted it... so you can bring it back.. i tried the filter thing in the inventury...
i am not excited of it ....

we will see how long this will go....

do someone know ppl with same problem? or ppl who get their inventury restored?

and the IP ban.. you know that the most new Providers change the IP on every Internet log in ?
