I think it might be my card, but I don't understand why my card would cause it to happen with just items from that store. It's a GeForce 260GTX+.
Anywho, would love some suggestions since the armidi clothing is so nice.
Thanks ya'll!

From that fancy sim designed liked .... france or something. Well I am not having problems with anything else except what I've bought there. Serious texture glitching, I've tried character test, reinstall, clearing cache, rebaking. Nothing.

the 260 (any new nVidia cards w/ 177 driver) does have some problems like this
/327/2e/279497/1.html why it only affect some textures is still a mystery, but it seems related to how alpha is done on the clothes textures. If you could let folks in that thread know which clothes DO work I bet they'd be happy to hear it. ![]() _____________________

I have quite a few Armidi pieces and found the textures to look just fine on my system.
There is, however, an issue with their prims "glowing" more than they seem to do for other designers. Since Armidi uses a lot of cuffs and collars, that can be a problem if, like me, you dislike clothing prims that shout "hey, I'm a prim!" (Don't get me started on the ol' crotch patch on tight miniskirts) _____________________

I've found the same issue on clothing from Mischief and Adam n Eve...I havent changed enough to find out if it is on other items or not but am very thankful it isnt all clothing...yet! I was directed here https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7957 in another thread, maybe it will help you as well. I had to revert to old drivers, but the problem was still there for me. =(

I have the latest driver from their site installed, perhaps installing the ones off the disc that came with it would help. I'll give it a try and use a cleaner to rid of the old ones.
Will post results when I do. |

Yup, all my Armidi clothing is borked with the 177 drivers and I just got a brand new nVidia 8800 card. Otherwise things run fine....but that texturing glitch is really causing problems with a lot of folks who use that driver (as I just recently discovered thanks to the folks on the forums)
There IS an issue with how the alpha layer is done and I can't recall where I read the details....but somewhere it was explained in the forums. Armidi is one line I can't wear....a lot of my jacket layers are borked from other creators and a few pants. I wish I knew more about making clothes (and had the patience) so i could just do my own layers that would work. *sigh* But for now....the wardrobe is slightly limited. |
