its no problem to make them slower, but this timing is 1:1 like the real life actor and the dances wouldnt look so real like they do it now.

but i will do some more slow dances in the future.. np :)

you all can send me notecards with links to dance videos or descriptions.
then you can be sure that you get the dance you like soon.

Then as I walked around, I noticed each individual dance was packed only in a poseball, and in what I could see of the BUY box, was not just no copy, but no mod. Sorry, but I make dance videos, and it isn't part of my filming process to switch dances by sitting on a different poseball. I added to the offline IM suggesting vendors to sell the individual dance animations.

Then I spotted the back of a sign and saw that the poseball was modifiable, okay.. so yes I can strip the dance out of the useless prim.

even if an item is no mod (such as a poseball) you can still pull the stuff out of it, just can not put it back in

I think what she's referring to isn't the running speed of the animation itself, but the high energy movements and fast pace of the dance involved.

I'd love to see some that are full length, but only have a few not-so-acrobatic dance steps used. Like jumping into a crowd for some smoky bump-n-grind. I remember seeing a dance at a different shop that had soooo many big musical type moves jammed into 20 seconds, that I recall telling myself that it made me look like a cheerleader on half a bottle of speed

The main problem is that we spend all our free time into animation productions. Its almost no problem to find names for the first 10 animations, but i would need weeks to find good names for 80 dances... So, i am sorry that i cant promise to change that in the next months.

Might i suggest hiring someone in world to take on this task for you?? It would ean you can focus your time on creating more dances. But for thse of us with huddles with a load of dances in them wehave them named by a moreidentifiable name. This is much of the reason i only purchased one dance from you guys

Yep, when I go dancing I choose from the dances I know what look like, and "male dance 23" etc probably wouldn't ring a bell then and there - unless it was the only dance with that format.

Now, if the animations actually were mod (as it is claimed the dances are on the vendor - turning out just to be the dance ball) , I could just rename them myself..

Very pleased to see that this is now the case. (and to be rid of the dance ball)

I agree! I would love to see more high quality couples dances, slow dances in particular. I'm guessing that they are pretty difficult to do, but a girl can dream. :)

yeah i've been looking for good slow couples dances for a long time too. seems like only bits and bobs have done good ones for these, i guess it's because syncing 2 avies in close proximity is no easy task :(. i like sine wave's solo dances but their couples dances are really over the top and look like both dancers are on crack lol :D

with regards to giving dances names, i can completely relate to that... it's a pain to remember what dance is good when all it has is a number. seems that animazoo has caught on though, they used to name their dances like dance 1 to dance n but are now giving them cool and catchy names :)

I just picked up a henmations dance today, now that they have moved dances to a part of the store where a kid could go. >_>

The dances were good, but I was disappointed to see that a dance
labelled as "mod" on the vendor, turns out NOT to be - once I finally ripped it out of the ball to put in my huddles. I wanted to rename it for practical reasons, but can't. That's not "mod" from my point of view...

In actual fact a few days ago a lot of the dances were marked copy, which got me excited and i brought about 20 and when I tried to copy no go. I see now he has made it clear which dances are copy and they are more than 3 times the prices of a single dance. LOL cheaper to buy 3 single no copy dances.

I don't understand why a copy dance should be more expensive.. am I Missing something?

Copy/No-Transfer vs No-Copy/Transfer.. isn't the point that ONE person can use it at a time? Why the difference in Price??

If it's just so the animators can make more cash due to SL asset bugs as people I've asked have suggested?? That seems kinda silly to me.

Wel copy means i can put it in the three dance balls we have at my club as well as in my only huddle. So i can understand why they would charge more for a copy version of the dance to be honest. Mind you copy couples pose balls are kind of obsolite now with the intan (and actually i think the same applies to single dances if you go down the intan path)

Is it me or is this just a really long advertisement for a certain animations maker?

well that's the big problem, someone wanted to voice their opinion about how dance animations are organised and sold, so they could have started this discussion in 'group', but only if there was a group and if they were a member. But then the majority of the people responding are probably not in that group and the only place a discussion of this type can continue is here. the fact that only a few animators do dance animations worthy of discussion tends to pinpoint it down to them. It would be really stupid to have to start using 'coded words' to identify how the conversation originated. So yes, what is the best choice in this case, discuss and solve issues with commerce within SL here, or what…? (I ended like that because, I can't be bother to type anymore, but I think you get my drift).

I went and looked at these last night and, while I did buy a few and I won't deny that the mocap is well done, the vast majority of them were too 'fast' for my taste...almost to the point of being a bit spastic. I still prefer Sine Wave and, for certain things, Animazoo.

Also, most people I know just want copyable dances in case the asset server decides to eat their dance HUD or chimera - so they don't have to repurchase - not because they're planning to put it in 800 dance balls or whatever. By pricing these so high, the creator pretty much made them useless to anyone who isn't running a club or similar 'commercial' endeavor.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I wouldn't consider this advertisement, more like a group constructive criticism encounter. I would hope the creator pays attention to *all* the comments, or else this shop is just not going to be on my list.

I would recommend going to see Maar Auer's new Foxtrot. It is one of the best I have seen, and as an authorized Intan Couple Dance Ball loader, I see them all.

Exactly! I don't run a club or intend to, I just want copies due to SL bugs and the ability to put my Huddles in different avatar folders to quickly swap outfits etc..

If perhaps there was a 'non-expiring' receipt system in place where I could replace my animations if SL eats them upon providing some sort of receipt, without going through any hassles, that would be acceptable I suppose, though it would mean my Huddles would no longer become copyable and I run a risk of losing it each time I add something to it :(

I bought a copy version to use from inventory and from a HUD, and didn't realize the price was more than triple. I could have just bought 2 no copy ones. Until you click buy there is no visible price tag. Ah well. I feel stupid now!

Some suggestions to the owner:

Don't spam people with group invites. That's rude.

Move the dances away from that sex bed section. It's not just because some people would never go near a place like that (kid avas for example). A dance place needs to be zero lag, this means as few prims as possible. And please, get rid of the 20+ bots in the air!
