Is anyone else having trouble getting their cash filtered into Paypal? A credit I processed on November 25th has still not made it to my Paypal account. I have called Linden Labs several times and have gotten several answers and responses, but none of them really tell me anything.
Is this just me, or is anyone else having a nightmare this December in getting money into Paypal?

I was just going to post pretty much the exact same msg only mine is Nov. 29th and yes I have called too and they blamed paypal! LOL! I really do love SL but LL can really try one's patience to the extreme. It's a freaking electronic transfer LL! Notice that they have NO trouble collecting their fees on time... *sigh* with expletive added.

It makes me feel somewhat better to know others are having the same problem, Jaren. The first few time I called, the guy told me he had never heard of anything like that. The second time I called he told me it would be processed today, and then today when I called he said it could take 30-50 days -- which I hope is an exaggeration.

Paypal is supposed to only be for 0-5 business days. Although they were pretty good about doing it the next business day. Paypal says it's not on their end at all... which, given that other paypal things are having no problem, I'm inclined to believe. This is the WRONG time of the year for LL to be having this kind of issue, that's for sure.

It could also depend on the dollar amount, many times large transactions can be held longer to give them time to check against possible fraud. I personally have not had more than 5 days delay with PP, but have heard horror stories from several PP victims...good luck on that one!

This used to happen so much when I processed credit using LL to Paypal. Since then I process my Lindens through SLX and then on to Paypal. Average time for it to be credited to my Paypal account from SLX? About two minutes!

Much less headache from what I hear and I already know they have far superior customer service than LL.

In all the time I've been using it I've never had a problem save for some website redevelopment they were doing and I had to wait 2 days for a payment to go through. Even then, their customer service emailed me three times to keep me up to speed with what was happening.

Moreover, all the other sites that I use Paypal with such as "ebay" and numerous poker sites never have the same problems that I did with LL to Paypal.

LL is THE only company I've dealt with that has this issue and $ amount of the transfer has never mattered for me, all $ amounts are treated with equal incompetence in my experience. HELLO SLX! Does anyone know how the cashout compares in value? Do I get more $ or less $ than LL's system?

Depends, you can take an immediate cash exchange for the best price available or set a sell price for your lindens and wait for them to be bought at that price. I usually take the first option and get the money into Paypal as quick as possible. If I was dealing in thousands of USD then I would probably take the latter option. L$279 to L$281 a $1 is the usual instant cash out level.

/me raises hand on behalf of my alt.
I thought it might have been related to the fact that it is my first cash out from the system and that the amount is pretty substantial, all things considered ($200-ish US).
What's making it a bit sadder for me is that the funds are from a benevolence concert that several friends kindly put together to purchase a gift card for a RL friend of mine that is laying in a hospital (and has been for 2+ months).
Guess I should've funneled it through my SLX account instead. Ah, well, live and learn.

From: PennyWhistle Cameron Tell me more about cashing out through Slex. I have a Slex account, and have sold some things through Slex...how does the cash out work, and how do you set it up through paypal? Got to the SLX Currency Exchange and hit the "Sell LL" link. Then when it's coverted to dollars hit the withdraw link in the "My SLX" box at the top left. It will then ask for the email address of your Paypal account which you confirm and then it passes your bucks over to Paypal. It's pretty much intuitive and you shouldn't run into a problem but post back if you do. [EDIT] EEEEPS! Forgot the important part! Before all of that find an SLX terminal and pay into it however many Lindens you want to exchange.

Very speedy, usually minutes if you have a good record with Paypal.

I should be in pretty good with Paypal, Sy. I have been processing credits with them for a year, and am a premier member. So, surely I won't be scorned.
I really appreciate your info. I just can't decide if I am going to cash out now, or wait til my customary Sunday morning to cash out.
And if you ever need a dog, come see me.

Well you were right. I cashed out through Slex, and my money was in Paypal in a few seconds. You've made a believer out of me. No more waiting around for Linden Labs to get their thumbs out of their butts and do something actually beneficial for the site.
But hey, all of us who have thousands of dollars of cash caught up in this latest bug, we should take heart....WINDLIGHT IS REALLY BITCHIN' MAN!
I'm so disgusted with that tribe of fools that I can't hardly contain my sarcasm.

I'll sing their praises, Sy. I just wish there was a way for me to get what's currently being dicked around in Lindex out again so I can filter it through Slex.

what if you have USD$ in LL.... can that be sent to SLX without "buying" Lindens first?
