I use Mouselook at least as much as I can. I assume everyone else does but is that true? I couldnt have sex in sl without mouselook. It's much more intense watching an avatar up close. I use it in my gallery and art purchases and in simply seeing the world.
Do you use mouse or not?

I use mouselook most often when flying or driving some kind of vehicle, rarely any other time. I generally prefer to manipulate the view with the camera controls than mouselook. I cam all over the place all the time.

From: Jig Chippewa I couldnt have sex in sl without mouselook. This is the strangest claim I've read in these Forums for months. Jig, you do know how to alt-zoom and control-alt-pivot the cam, right? By comparison, Mouselook is incredibly limiting. I mean... *incredibly*. I cannot begin to imagine using Mouselook for anything intimate. (Well, actually I *can*, but only for a line of products that don't yet exist outside my filthy imagination. )

I only use Mouselook when I'm on a scripted tour in a vehicle.

What's mouselook?
Pep (Is it that thing that you have to hit escape loads of times to regain control?)

How can watching two pixel characters going at it be sexy? I can see it if at the same time you are on voice? I can't imagine how anyone can actually get much out of having sex if you are having to type at the same time? Or maybe there is something I'm missing.

I only use mouselook for combat. Make War not Love.

Can't DO anything in mouselook. It's difficult (had typed 'hard' but thought I'd better change it, in view of this thread's context!) to control or activate anything even if it is better for just looking around. I don't even get how you throw things at people in mouselook - or normal third-person for that matter, lol!

I go in to mouse look when I'm using a gun obviously. Another time it is useful is when you are in tight spaces and your normal camera ends up behind a wall. Another way you can use it is if you are on a carnival ride (like a ferris wheel or a carousel) it gives you a much more realistic perspective, however if you just ate lasagna I don't recommend it.

From: Void Singer much closer to never than rarely....
just not useful to lose all my menus. This ^^ Other than for navigating an especially awkward space, I have no use for it. In a lot of bondage places, locking/forcing someone into mouselook is considered a punishment, and a an unpopular one at that.

I almost always tend to use Mouselook whenever I am walking or flying around. I find it much easier to maneuver in that mode. I also use it a lot when exploring a new place or when shopping, because it is so much easier to "look around", and I tend not to miss what is above or below my normal line of sight, and I experience the place as if I was standing there. My only problem there is that for some reason, on some systems, I have to drop out to click on doors and open them. Odd thing is that at other times clicking on doors in mouselook works just fine for activating them.
But when I stop moving, to text chat with someone, or to do most roleplaying, including intimate relations, I drop Mouselook and fly the camera around so I can see all the people I am interacting with at once. For me, this gives me the "peripheral vision" and "auditory queues" that I lack in SL, and allows me to direct my attention to whoever is speaking or interacting with me. And as for "intimate times" I am a hopeless shutterbug, and spend a lot of that time looking from various angles, to enjoy and record every nuance, since, again, I can't simply "feel" my lover's caress of my spine, or the way their tail is curling around my ankle. And few people pose all the visual details in their text chat.

You use mouselook during sex?! The time or two I've tried that I wound up seeing the inside of my partner's head. Mouselook is great for flying, but I almost never remember to use it then. When I am flying in a vehicle, I do use it a lot. It increases the sense of realism for me. The only time I really use it is for combat. Mouselook is required to aim and fire many weapons, and is essential for melee weapons like swords, too. My lack of practice in mouselook is why I suck at combat...which is in turn why I tend to stand around looking beautiful and dangerous. That way I don't have to use mouselook.

Pep (Is it that thing that you have to hit escape loads of times to regain control?) Yes; I only know this, for that very reason, having gotten there by accident and had to figure out how to escape.
