I got mine from the men's department at Girl6. And I feel for him, I had a horrible time finding something that was remotely acceptable, I'm not even bothering with finding an upgrade.

I have worn one of Tami McCoy's for close to 18 months now. It was the only non-metrosexual, non 80's rocker male hair I could find.

Well the best thing about good mens hair, once you find some, you don't need to find another.

That's true; men rarely seem to change their hairstyle.
May I ask the OP - what do you qualify as 'good' hair for men? People's tastes on this matter vary widely. |

I think Aitui has some pretty cool mens hair. I use his hair in the ads for my jewelry shop. Not to mention, he has the hottest new male skins I've seen in on SL in a long time.

I have come to the conclusion that hair, clothes, shoes, dances etc for "standard" males (not discriminatory, but meaning heterosexual, non-furry, non-whateverotherminorityyouselect etc) are not being designed and sold by other "standard" males, and are therefore pretty scarce.
It is easy enough to find stuff obviously designed by women for men, but I have spent most of my real life avoiding being dressed by women in clothes that suck. I guess "standard" guys are having too much fun playing with toys of various types in sl to be bothered with designing and selling clothes I might like. I have decided to stick with a basic wardrobe (now there is an idea for a thread question) together with a bunch of (generally ridiculous) theme clothes for parties and holidays (another thread question?). Pep (I like shopping in rl, but in sl? No thanks!) _____________________

Why not post somewhere, as to what you'd most like to buy in SL as far as hair, clothes, etc. It might inspire somebody
![]() Dog: You got it! (ETA: Might I recommend Sirena for men's hair. She makes men's and women's hair, has demos, and you get a full color pack for $195. But what's best, IMO, is that she makes 'realistic' looking hair in addition to the bigger more fantasy oriented hair. She also has little platforms you can open things on, which is nice.) (Sirena is the shop name not the designer's name.) And a couple more 'conservative' hairstyles I found on On Rez. http://shop.onrez.com/item/642012 http://shop.onrez.com/item/547364 http://shop.onrez.com/item/423253 FWIW this is the full perm: http://shop.onrez.com/item/358042 (looks best in black) |

Laqroki has good hair for men, just not a huge range of styles. I also second the recommendation of Sirena — a good and varied range. Damselfly seems pretty great for women, but I wouldn't look twice at their men's hair — that god-awful 'on parole' look.

maybe he should look for bad man's hair? A bald man's hair is always a safe bet, with a semi decent skin. Low ARC too. |

Yep a lot of guys seem to 'go bald' for lack of a hair option they prefer. Shorter/more conservative options should be more numerous.
Btw I can't vouch personally for the above links, they just looked good to me. I did comb (heh) through tons of pages to find them, though. |

They just released three men's styles yesterday that I thought were kinda cute anyway. And some women like the paroled man look. *pokes tongue at Leo* |

I think Aitui has some pretty cool mens hair. I use his hair in the ads for my jewelry shop. Not to mention, he has the hottest new male skins I've seen in on SL in a long time. Thanks so much KiKi ![]() This is a stolen item. I have come to the conclusion that hair, clothes, shoes, dances etc for "standard" males (not discriminatory, but meaning heterosexual, non-furry, non-whateverotherminorityyouselect etc) are not being designed and sold by other "standard" males, and are therefore pretty scarce *Scratches his head* I am a heterosexual male that designs clothing and hair, among other things, for men in Second Life. Clothing/hair is genderless. They are neither gay nor straight. A particular attire can be marketed towards a certain audience, but it is up to the wearer to choose how it looks. Sometimes I will set up a clothing stand at a mall geared toward gay men. Does that mean I am gay? Does that mean my clothing is made for gay men? No. I just make it and I market it. I invite all genders, all looks, and all walks of life to check out my products. I have seen many many varying looks with my products. It is up to the person wearing it to style themselves. I have seen emo, goth, preppy, and even a bit "gangster," a way I never would have thoght my clothing could be worn. Gay men do seem to buy more and get into fashion a bit more than your "Standard" male. This is why you may see more shops by a gay man, or items being marketed towards the gay male. Unfortunately men in general just do not buy nearly as much as women do, I have been told several times that I am wasting my time making clothing exclusively for men as they just do not buy to the degree a woman does. But I enjoy making mens clothing. (This years hair fair was a real eye opener. Out of all of the hair I sold, I would guess that about 70% of the sales were made by a woman). Cutting my self short when it comes to money by making mens clothing? Sure. Wasting my time? Of course not. If you think something looks "Gay" and that turns you off, if there is a demo, I would urge you to give it a try, it may look good on you. Open your mind and there will be many more options, but you do not like shopping in Sl anyway so I guess it is not a huge deal. But I thought I would comment to just say that a clothing piece is sexless, it is how you wear it. Only a human can be gay or straight. _____________________

Yep a lot of guys seem to 'go bald' for lack of a hair option they prefer. Shorter/more conservative options should be more numerous. From what I understand, it's more difficult to make shorter prim hair that looks decent than it is something with a bit more length. I still like a lot of Naughty's styles for men. _____________________

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things. Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut. |

Clothing/hair is genderless. And the incorrect opinion expressed in that short simple sentence is the principal reason men don't buy more stuff. Pep (real men don't eat quiche, nor buy "genderless" stuff) _____________________

And the incorrect opinion Opinions are inherently neither correct nor incorrect...they are simply opinions. But, unless your clothing has genitals, it IS genderless. ![]() _____________________
