5 reasons why RL sucks

SL is a kinda one-dimensional venue for you, isnt' it?

Prolly FL is, too.

Maybe its not SL ...

Can't dance for 3 hours in stilettos
Can't change time of day for improved visibilty and better snapshots
Have to waste time sleeping, eating and various bathroom activities
Can't keep a horse, an airplane, 5000 clothes and a ham sandwich in my pocket
Can't instantly travel to Mexico, Paris, Mars by simply clicking on a hyperlink.

Only 5 huh?

1. Customer service sucks!

2. Cops laugh when I file abuse reports.

3. Can't orbit my boss.

4. Ban lines don't work.

5. Terraforming is really hard work.

1. Building is expensive.

2. Falling more then a few feet will probably break something.

3. Death doesn't just teleport you home.

4. Disease.

5. No Appearance sliders.

1. No menu for my inventory.

2. No TP on Google Maps.

3. No Skybox.

4. No Delete option.

5. Can't buy a house for L$500.

1. I look silly in a dragon avatar.

2. Dragging a folder on me doesn't change my clothes

3. I have to comb my hair.

4. Laundry

5. Decay

Turdxes, you are pretty much still a noobie. In time you will learn, in SL thats griefing, and on a message board, its flaming.

Better keep an eye on your girl.....

1. Entire RL grid is set to 'no-fly'

2. RL sex feels much better but my performance is not as reliable

Nah.. Trolls have to be considered when crossing bridges and such- windbags can be summarily ignored.

Depends on your point of view, I guess. I happen to know Xerxes and he's a valuable contributor to these pages. So from my point of view, he's expressing an opinion. The response was an immediate ad-hominem attack of namecalling from a relatively new poster. That says "troll" to me.

1. The suspensions are much longer than a couple days if you shoot someone in a sandbox.
2. You can be suspended for caming up a skirt.
3. You can't use an alt to grief noobs in a welcome area.
4. The energy required to orbit someone makes it impractical to do on a regular basis.
5. When you have sex in a stranger's house you leave DNA evidence behind.

OMG!!!

1 through 4 were bad enough, but that 5, man, that's a heart wrencher.

1. A knee the size of a pomelo due to motorycle lay-down.

2. Road-rash on above said knee.

3. Road-rash on hand and inability to open Diet Coke due to motorcyle lay-down.

4. I can't just rez a new helmet out of Inventory.

1. RL never has "Logins temporary disabled, please enjoy your SL untill we resolved this".

2. Running around with your appendage sticking out your pants, demanding teh sexxiez, leads to trouble.

3. Fly and teleport are not yet implemented in RL.

4. I cannot build much in RL, and the prims you have to purchase.

5. If you think tier and VAT is bad, try RL taxes in the Netherlands. We get a leader who looks like Harry Potter for that though.

You might be surprised just how effective that can be.

It's not. The difference that working at the atomic and molecular level changes everything. Start getting used to the fact that none of the old rules really will apply anymore.

in no particular order.

1. The bloody weather is unpredictable...at least the little avatar in the grey box never gets it right.
2. No way to mute my neighbour when he has 24 hour parties.
3. Work...nuff said
4. Stuff in the fride goes off if you dont delete it before you go away.
5. Travelling on stupid public transport with my face pressed into some wierdo's armpit and ending up practically sat on a kid in a stupid pram (that the stupid mother refuses to fold down so we can have a bit more room) and the stupid driver (who was stupidly late) not noticing his stupid bus is pretty damn full and letting more stupid people squish into the tiny gaps on the stupid bus and going round the stupid roundabout making me ending up on my stupid butt and standing on some stupid person's stupid foot with my stupid boots trying to get back up and the stupid person giving me stupid looks all the way back to my stupid flat with the stupid neighbour who has stupid parties......


...yeah....I need to breathe a bit here...

So Claire, how was your bus ride home?

1. I can't get a freebie vehicle whenever I want.

2. If my GF gets pregnant, we can't just store the baby in inventory, if it came at a bad time.

3. I HAVE TO log in to RL, EVERY DAY, until I die permanently.

4. I can't just put my home way up in the sky, so I can practice guitar as loud as I want without neighbors calling the landlord.

5. A brand new motorcycle costs more than $2 USD.

6. Venereal diseases exist, preventing me from having a "revolving door harem".

7. Smoking gives me cancer.

8. I can't breakdance.

9. Clothes get dirty.

10. Women have PMS and turn into demons. Not the harmless heavy metal kind either.

Claire, just say it sucks that you can't fly. That seems to work for everyone else. Avoiding the bus squeeze is just one aspect of said failure.
