hi Just logged in and noticed that several slow rotation scripts are not working at my place.I logged out and tried again but same thing.I also tried dazzle same thing.I have reset scripts to no effect any ideas. These are standard scripts that have not failed before.

I noticed this too initially when the region I'm in was reset to Havok 4...
It turned the scripts from running to not... resetting them doesn't change the 'running' status, so make sure that's checked, and you should sort it. Worked for me at least |

Seeing the same thing all over my sim. I have tried resetting, changing state, etc. I even deleted and rewrote the script in one item and no change. A couple of my objects are still rotating but about 80% are dead for no apparent reason.
The scripts are running, one of them is in a modeling stand. The rotation is part of the main script, and everything else is runnig except the rotation. According to annoyed clients that have been contacting me, it started about 1 to 2 hours ago. Oh, and this is the same across 3 different client versions. 1.18.5, 1,19.0, and 1,19.1. |

restarting the region fixes the issue. Ask Your estate manager or (arg) put in a ticket.
Sidewinder is aware of the problem, but after a region restart the problem is not reproducible. Alisha |

After testing it on some of my signs here I found something interesting.
Resetting, and changing the running state has no effect. Recompiling does not help either. I deleted the script, and replaced it with a copy from inventory it still did not work. I created a blank script in the prim and copied in the source, complied, and still no rotation. Then I duplicated the whole prim and the new copy started rotating. The problem appears to be in the prim instead of the script. |

Are they gonna fix this or do I need to report it or what? I would go ahead and report it with as much detail as you can on what happened, anything odd in the sim when it happened, etc. I just spent a little bit of time with some other folks and Sidewinder Linden, and the Lindens are having problems being able to repro the problem. |

The Lindens are having a problem reproducing what problem???? Rotation scripts not working??? Yes. Restarting does work too, but it will probably keep happening until they locate the cause. From the sounds of it some places it will return in as little as a few minutes. But not with any apparent pattern. |

wow, It just happened again. I sell windmills, so My day has been fun...
It does appear to be a prim property malfunction, and of course lltargetomega is client side. That must mean the prim is failing to send its spinny info to the agent/viewer. This first appeared on my products after the h4 gridwide rollout, But I was an early adopter and this never came up during the beta. Not for me or my customers. Now it seems to be occurring randomly..? I can not reproduce this at all, it just happens when i am not looking. =/ I am sure Kelly is equally frustrated with this function. confused Alisha |

Well here is a rather odd thing about it.... I read the reports of rotation being broken for many people hours in advance of it happening on my sim to my spinny things. They were working just fine up until a couple of hours ago... so maybe it has something to do with the time the sim was rolled over to Havok 4. Just thinking out loud. |

Yep, this is thoroughly b0rked. In the one misbehaving llTargetOmega object I've found (of many that are working fine on the same sim), I could just drag copy it and the new one took off right away. I swear that llTargetOmega is somehow jinxed: in every release, it's b0rked in some new and inscrutable way.

It makes me very sad... 75% of my sculptures rely on this function so my business is screwed by this bug. Today the remaining working ones stopped too.

I had the same thing happen with a couple of kinetic art pieces that I was working on. Logged in and they had stopped rotating. Tried all the usual things w/no sucess.
Finally I took them back into inventory and re-rezed them and they started to rotate as they should. Funny thing. I have 6 other items out that use the same script that is in the items that stopped rotating, but only the 2 stopped functioning the other 6 continued to functiion normally. Go figure! _____________________

See also https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1952 - llSetLinkPrimitiveParams PRIM_POSITION on Avatar not working in some sims after Havok4 Upgrade. Could the two problems be related somehow? This one I referred to seems to be only occurring in some subset of sims, not all of them; and I've heard reports that while a sim restart fixes it for a while, after a while the problem will recur again in that sim.

Get's even more complex, while doing a series of rotating prims each one I added broke the one before it .... having gone through all the usual fixes yesterday on a project I knew taking into inventory and rerezzing would "fix" it ... this is a little too close to breaking all the doors in second life for my comfort.
Hope the guys (girls too I hear) at VastPark work through the weekend http://www.vastpark.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=frontpage&Itemid=1 and check out http://code.google.com/apis/opensocial/ |
