Maybe it's still in your inventory and didn't rez properly, but due to some glitch it's not showing up. I'd atleast try to put in a ticket for missing inventory and see if they can run their database fixer upper thingy that works magic.

From: Lindal Kidd .... Sigh...looking for it might resemble a search for a four leaf clover. Was it a four poser bed?

I've still got my bed but I have a heck of a job getting myself to lie down and fall asleep in it!!! The pose stick in it seems broken - but it was a freebie, so no big deal!!!

From: Lindal Kidd Last night, my partner asked me to find a bed in my inventory that she'd given me a while back.
I found the thing, after a lot of rummaging, dragged it from my inventory and dropped it on her avatar.
She never got it. It didn't appear in world. And yet, it disappeared from my inventory.
I checked my Transaction History, and there's no record of the transfer.
Look in the prims near where she was standing. I have had items ignore the AV and just go into the closest prim.

Would the bed not show up as a blue square on the mini map? Or would that not happen if it had been put inside another prim as suggested? Sorry if these are daft questions, I've been here a wee while but I'm still learning

From: Nika Talaj The restraints have nothing to do with it, so long as you had control of your cursor and interface. (Thanks for sharing, tho! ). There is no way a script can prevent you from rezzing or giving something away, if you are still mechanically able to manage your mouse. If she was so restrained as to have been using the Restricted Life viewer, then it might matter. I don't know much about that viewer, but it's possible that it could block inventory transfers. One would think that it wouldn't disappear from inventory, though. However, bugs abound.

... the things we find, and the ways we find them ...
Way back when, I had a skybox. Occasionally, one of us would mis-click when sitting, and wind up sitting on the edge of the top. One time, my GF did that, and when she stood, she fell to her untimely death ...
... only, she happened to land on a bed floating high in the air. A bed with at least a dozen poseball pairs on it.
She TP'd the rest of us to the bed, and we had a lot of fun up there in the sky trying to see if we could find matching poseball pairs.
I wonder if it's still floating up there!
Maybe Lindal's bed fell into a time warp, and it was hers! If so, thanks Lindal, we laughed until we cried.

Too late for this suggestion but after dropping pose balls into invisa prims at a friend's skybox on several occasions I've made it a habit to always drop items into the profile.

I've thought this happened before, but it was just very slow rezzing. The next day, it was there, way up in the air, for some reason. Not a bed, but just a random item.
So maybe check way up above and way below the rez point? Is it possible the item 'missed' her avatar and rezzed somewhere nearby?

I think (almost*) the only way the object could get transferred into a prim's contents is if some modifier key (Control?) or keys were pressed during the drag-and-drop. And the recipient prim would have to be modifiable by Lindal, which pretty much means owned by her or by somebody whose stuff she can modify or actually shared with a group to which she belongs.
In addition to 0,0,0, I'd suggest a quick scan around altitude 256, especially if this is near a sim edge.
And where's the OP already? Did she clear cache and etc? Did she yet strap on the Mysti-Tool and go a-huntin'? Did she ever escape the Restraints?
__________ * "Almost" because of llAllowInventoryDrop(), but that's pretty rare, and the Control key would still have to be pressed, but the object wouldn't need to be dropper-owned/modifiable.

And where's the OP already? Did she clear cache and etc? Did she yet strap on the Mysti-Tool and go a-huntin'? Did she ever escape the Restraints? Hi, Ferrets! I'm safe and well. Here's the update! Last night, I installed Emerald. It starts a new cache, so I didn't bother clearing it. While it was loading my inventory, I went back and both cammed around inside the skybox prims looking to see if the bed was buried there, and also checking the Contents folders of individual objects and even single prims. No bed did I see. (though I did find a couple of other lost and buried things). (As an aside, yes, I have edit rights to nearly everything in view at that particular location. And no, I don't use Restrained Life. Although I might, at some point, just the "have your partner remove your clothes" part of it.) So...my partners showed up just as I was about to flit over to 0,0,0 and check there, and we chatted for a while. As we did, I searched my inventory one more time... ...and there it was! Not in Trash, not in Lost and Found, but right under "Beds" where it belonged. It had snuck in when I wasn't looking, pretending innocence. I gave it a stern talking to and transferred it back to my partner. This time, the transaction went through normally. Oh...and yes, I did (eventually) get out of those restraints. Thanks for your kind concern! One final note...a big THANK YOU to Morgaine Alter, who sent me not one, but TWO lovely beds! Kisses to all, and a box of fresh baked cookies to Morgaine.

I believe Qie's correct: to drag to object contents, you must either drag a folder or else control-drag.
So it's more likely dropped inworld.
It's also possible that the object got lost, and you'd need to file a ticket to get it back. But try searching, first.
If you know the object name, try a simple sensor. Let me know if you need help with that. I also know someone who has a very clever scanner to find objects of a given name (intended for hunts), and that could be useful. Just let me know if you're interested.
