Last night, my partner asked me to find a bed in my inventory that she'd given me a while back. I found the thing, after a lot of rummaging, dragged it from my inventory and dropped it on her avatar. She never got it. It didn't appear in world. And yet, it disappeared from my inventory. I checked my Transaction History, and there's no record of the transfer. Possible contributing factor: I, um, happened to be wearing a set of Real Restraints at the time.  Does anyone have any ideas what happened to the missing furniture? Is there any way to get it back? /me sits back, blushing hotly, and awaits a flurry of Smart Remarks from the crowd of Regulars.

Being that you're one of the regulars, you'll probably be ok with this.  It's an interesting problem and can't wait to hear the responses, and, where it finally turns up. A friend of mine pulled something out of her inventory recently, placed it on the ground and it immediately went up to 4096. Who knows why? But she found it, and while she was up there, also found an old dance ball, of mine that had disappeard months ago. |

Thought of something else; Top scripts, if anyone you know has access to them, if this is an estate, would pinpoint it for you, they'd find it in top scripts, by it's name and put a beacon on it. If it's still on the sim of course. |

Did you drag the bed or the folder it was in?
If the folder, it may have ended up in the contents of a nearby prim.

The restraints have nothing to do with it, so long as you had control of your cursor and interface. (Thanks for sharing, tho!  ). There is no way a script can prevent you from rezzing or giving something away, if you are still mechanically able to manage your mouse. Is it possible that you accidently rezzed it with the wrong group on? My friend just did that in a sim where all objects are supposed to be set to the sim group, and the object rezzed (no error dialog), then disappeared. It showed up in his Lost and Found, but only after he cleared cache. And yes, check nearby prims. . |

Argent, it was the bed itself, not a folder. I had the correct group tag on (pretty sure, anyway). Mainland, not estate, so top scripts won't help.
It wasn't in Trash or L&F, but I'll clear cache and check again. And I'll have a look at 0,0,0.

But you know, it MIGHT have got dropped into a prim. There were an awful lot of alpha textures nearby...tree leaves and such...and my camera was a good distance away from our two avs. Sigh...looking for it might resemble a search for a four leaf clover.
