I'd suggest the Arcadian security system

I find it amusing that you take this stance with that huge jpeg ad in your signature line and the slurl to your business below it.

There is a huge difference between a banner ad in a signature (especially when half the forum has signatures turned off) and intentionally starting threads with the sole intent of promoting one’s business or the business of a friend. And given that you are the undisputed queen of starting drama threads designed to promote your business, I find it rather hilarious that you are swatting at me. But not hilarious enough to bother wasting any more time conversing with you.

See you in the next Bear Infohub thread.

If you find it more comfortable to dismiss everything you have no real opinion on as drama or blatant advertising then that is your problem. See you then.

A pest on a private estate is sort of like a kid with a firecracker trying to annoy a nest of vicious pirates... it *always* backfires.

Pirates, eh? Imagine what it is like on the Isle of Wyrms. :D

...For the same reason I don't want strangers walking around my RL property (at any time)

I don't get people who buy security systems -- why not just set the access on your land to those who you want on your land?

And I *really* get annoyed at those with 5 second ban times -- your cruising along, and bam, you've been teleported home.

Save yourself $11 US and just set the access, and also avoid being what is, in my opinion, griefing.

Reiterating, that you are on a Private Island and are not paying TO Linden.

If you are sure they told you you are paying to Linden Labs then there is red flag here about your estate owner...OR you may have misunderstood maybe they said paying WITH Lindens$ which is hopefully the case.

I am renting once again on a private estate, and like before, would never consider for a moment using banlines or a security system. 99.9% of those who would wander onto my property are either existing residents or prospective residents. Neighbors. People. Community. Like others have mentioned, I welcome the random stranger who might happen in. Many times, friendships are born of such encounters.

For the remaining .1%, there's the ban list.

Many consider that ban lines are one of the most griefy things in SL.
If you want to "*really* annoy" a neighbour but not break the TOS, set up ban lines. You will destroy their view. You will also grief anyone passing by.

Ad farmers now use ban lines to grief neighbourhoods now that their ugly builds have been banned.
