Femboys, and smaller guys.

I have a question on AR's

if you are AR'd for being a child avatar in a sexual situation and you are actually just one of the smaller type guys, and yes they do exist! are you able to defend any ban that you would get?

i know there are a ton of femboys on SL that take part of the more adult activities in SL and i have nothing against them, i actually have a femboy alt that i just bought an island with!

i'm just wondering if i should have to keep watching my back with him? could I be AR sniped and have no say in it?

these types of boys exist in reality especially in the 18-21 range, even that little guy from Napolean Dynamite was kinda girly in figure, but what i have run into alot of the time is people assuming i am a child avatar... is this because every boy after the age of 18 gets instantly ripped and 8 feet tall?

The age thing has absolutely nothing to do with height - despite the tendency of many to to make the equation.

I do think it is important to be careful with the 'Appearance' sliders. Getting proportions right is something of an art but it pays off when the av looks just-so. Then again that advice would stand for a middle-aged av with a beer belly: there's quite a trick to pulling off an accurate 'look'.

some people however are smart enough to know that guys come in all sizes, i know i have friends with a less than manly shape IRL and even my RL brother is a tad scrawny at the age of 24.

my question however is, if i am spotted in a place an AR'd, do i just get instantly ban?

Nothing to worry about unless you did what the AR was about. There are more racists and outright discriminating people in SL than in RL because they can hide behind their AV mask.

Just go to places that are not suffering from those idiots and you will be fine.

I've taken life drawing, and i make custom shapes for people in SL, not just femboy shape, and i do it for free, just to know i have helped someone *gets in her bunker to fight off IMs that might come!*

You might find yourself banned from a lot of venues in-world, but it's unlikely you'd be banned from SL as a whole. On the other hand I wouldn't want to risk doing anything sexual with an avatar of that sort of appearance, just in case. Even though it's realistic, and you KNOW the avatar is meant to be over 18, if there's any chance that it might possibly be mistaken for someone underage, by anybody, you're likely to be treading on very thin ice.

When I am hosting in the Dungeon if someone looks child like i then look at their groups and pics if they show age play then i will remove them

Unfortunately this kind of abuse is common in SL. You just have to reach for the 'Mute' button and leave them to their opinions.

Personally, I think it is disappointing that anyone should have to 'insure' his or her av with a declaration in their profile of what the av is *supposed* to represent. It should be possible to get the immediate 'look' with the aid of a good skin and the controls at your disposal.


I would say again that it is very much a question of balancing the appearance of your av properly. Regardless of the height issue, there are many subtle differences between a young man of 18-21, however feminine he may be, and a boy of say 14 or even older.


I have AR'd a few child avs I witnessed engaging in ageplay but I neither received a response nor did I see them banned.

Seriously....they all look like mini adults. I've made some frail shapes for guys before and once skinned and suited up they looked like what they were meant to look like, frail men. It's a shame that anyone would have to even worry about being accused of age play or whatever......but sadly...it's the idiots out there that ARE doing that, that have made it so risky for anyone not to look like a beefcake clone or barbie clone. I hope you can't get kicked off SL.....but the problem is if you get AR'd enough by stupid small minded wingnuts who have no clue and jump to conclusions to suit their own paranoid fantasies....then LL just might ban you. You're just going to have to be really careful, not much else to be done.

I am 1.60, in SL and RL. Although my name is Boy I am female. And I never had any problem with anyone telling me I am a child AV or anything close to it. So there is certainly a way to avoid looking like one in the way one dresses and behaves.

If someone would attack me for being a child AV he or she can be sure of a nice AR her/himself.

You don't get out enough. I once saw an extremely realistic 8-10 year old at Animation Warehouse. He even behaved like one. The brat kept messing with the controls on my pose stand.

The content of the profile will help. Nobody can completely protect themselves from the random acts of Governance, but that's really *nobody*, not just femboys.

FWIW, I've never used that word to describe Qie, but I suppose he qualifies; he's certainly scrawny and has gotten similar comments to that quoted above. Sure, Qie could bulk-up and grow facial hair or something, but that would be somebody else. One thing I did was to age-verify, with the identity-risking Aristotle/Integrity stuff. That of course proves nothing, but I figure it might make a G-Team member think twice before making me fax photocopies of my passport and brokerage statements. I'm also Payment Info Used, which appears on Qie's profile, so maybe pointing at that might be a deterrence to others filing ARs.

Of course I realize the threatened ARs aren't about being underage, but about some warped perception of nonexistent ageplay. I've met enough folks in SL who claim to have been abused as children; it's understandable that someone with that background might see things that aren't there... and I suspect that's also some of the reason why they wear the Extra-Medium Muscle Mary shapes.

THIS avatar got ARed and suspended for (sexual)ageplay while in a PG sim, in a PG building contest, seated inside a joke "grid crash protection box" in front of an audience of about 30 friends. (=_=)

I have one other friend who was ARed and terminated (Yes, the never come back again 'termination') over spanking role play where no known kid AV was around. (=_=)

Yet another friend who was ARed and terminated for getting angry at and insulting someone. (>_<

Each and every time, the story in the AR was made up. So, I was able to battle my suspension based on the audience I had. But I now no longer have two friends that I can easily meet inworld anymore. (T_T)

The way I see it. Being anything shorter than 7' tall is a risk. Anyone can make up any story and if it carries a sliver of weight, consider yourself to be joining the Virtual Choir Invisible. SL is the world of Hulk Manchunk and Frankenslut Boobzilla. (T_T)

I believe that's corrrect, but I also think that if everyone were the same oxygen-deprived height and wore the exact same preternaturally bulky shape--or even if we all had silver hair and used walkers--whichever of us seemed the least advanced in age would set off the "sexual ageplay" alarms for those who are afflicted by that phobia.

The only times I've seen someone instabanned was when they said, in open chat or in their profile, that they were under 18 in RL.

ND was very tall. i would think that if you were tall enough, it wouldn't come in to question.

my avatar is about 5'8 or 9 last time i checked I'm still short by SL standards but not hella short
