What is the maximum number of Linden permitted alt avatars per premium account?

5 per email, per person, per household.

4 or 5 for every alt email you can create I think is the limit.

Unless (and there always seems to be an exception) you are trying to create through one of the alternative communities like CSI or Scion, where you are told:

"Another user is currently using this email"

The L Word portal appears to be broken too... despite filling in the birthdate fields (from a drop-down list!!!) I get:

Invalid numeric field
Birthdate day is empty
Birthdate day is invalid

...and when I change *that* and pick a number at random, I get the "Another user is currently using this email" message.

How did SL manage to get so many millions of sign-ups?

i though an individual was only allowed 5 overall. but if you have a large household, each person can have up to 5. each person would require their own individual email address, of course.

Although that 'pay for' part is no longer valid in the vast majority of cases...they stopped charging a while ago.

Are they not stopping the bot madness for marketing purposes? ie. suddenly there is only 10k users logged on at any given time, etc..? Yes I would appear as a liar for some of my RL clients hired me to build their presence in SL after I told them the vast numbers of online residents.

So does LL support the bot empire?

Everywhere I go where there is a mall or campers, I ask the group standing around if they are real.. RARELY do I get a response. Most of them are pacing back and forth aimlessly or trying to sit on the same Lucky Chair over and over and over and over and..

I have created one alt with the same email address, when I tryed to create another 2 days later, it told me I could not use my email address

So how do you have up to 5 avi's per email?

Is there a way to make an avi using your existing account without going through the whole process of making a new account?

How recent was that text you quoted, Ann? And do you have a link? I was denied the creation of two new accounts last month even though I only have 4 accounts. I even tried using different emails and they still blocked me... for some reason.

Go through the official signup process instead of one of the 3rd-party portals. They seem to only allow one account per email, whereas the official allows more than one (but not an infinite number).

Yep, if pretty crap, we have people cheating the traffic system just because they can, others cheating it because they have to survive, others trying survive and not to cheat the system, and others just folding up and quiting. as LL continue to prove to us nice people finnish last.
Perhaps we just need an official sanction and bot creation portal & viewer from LL so everyone with a store can run their own 20-100 bots.
Th current system can't stop anyone with a hotmail address logging in, how is it supposed to keep kids out of the XXX areas of SL.

The simplest thing would be to allow landowners to set their traffic to whatever number they wanted in an About Land option.

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best... of course if you set your traffic limit to 20 say that should exclude the land owner otherwise you may lock yourself out of your sim!

What I meant was that rather than going through all the hassle of bots to artificially increase traffic, people could set a number on their land.
'Traffic' generated by bots is meaningless, so give people a simpler way to create that meaningless number.

Perhaps we should creat e a JIRA for that , might have more luck than other ideas
