I would pay good money for a client which would let me put clothes _on_ people.

If you put clothes on me, you better make sure to make them extra loose in the tail... O.o

Am I correct in thinking that skin and clothing layers are baked into a single texture, and that this texture is what passed to a viewer for rendering?

Yes, usually, but there is a backup system still in place that makes all the separate textures available. That's supposed to go away when textures switch to HTTP (not because it's HTTP but because they're redoing the whole system at the same time), but for now it works.

Meh, this little Second Life Viewer has been discussed before in SL-Dev list because it breaks Linden Lab's copyright! They sell the viewer without source, hence they break the license agreement of the viewers source code.

So everyone who buys it is in the clear, but the creator could be taken to court.

They're offering the source to buyers, so they're OK on the GPL thing if they follow through.

1) i personally find child av's creepy no matter how "innocent" they are trying to be

2) your not looking at a person, your looking at a generic 3d model rendered on a computer screen, and if they want to see the vulgar tattoo on my av's ass, be my guest
