OK THATS IT! We have people posting in ways that give headaches, people yelling and screaming apparently across sims cuz they cant hear each other or some such nonsense, music blasting so loud my neighbors are complaining and topics I have to look at the first post of again to figure out what the original topic was. I'm telling....

"Client > Character > Character Tests > Go Away/afk When Idle" does keep me from getting timed out. If I go to work, I'm still logged in when I come back, or if I leave SL on at night, I'm still logged in the next morning. I run SL in windowed mode, in the event that matters. I don't think it matters if I minimize SL or just click to another program on the taskbar.

the wl viewer tends not to change the settings for me. i went to the secondlife settings folder on my root drive (windows) and changed the settings_windlight.xml (or settings.xml). dont know where the files are on other systems, but i am sure you can do a file search just add: <!-- Automatically set AFK (away from keyboard) mode when idle --> <AllowIdleAFK value="FALSE" /> do it when sl is not running. when you start sl next time you will not go idle and logout. |

Typing in all caps is considered yelling. Think of these forums as a dining room, the guidelines as our manners, and well... shouting would be frowned upon.
Kind of like typing in all 1337 5P34K or "elite speak" is considered rude, uncool, and a royal pain in the backside to read.
And if for some reason your caps lock key is broken you can easily get a replacement keyboard from your local department or electronics store for a decent price. They're not expensive.
