I go to The Changing Room at Alady. This is supposed to be a place just for females and it has signs that say male avatars will be ejected.
This past week and today I have seen two male avatars there and nothing was done to eject them. One guy got really ugly with me when I told him he was not supposed to be there and even called me a Bitch. Today I went there and there was another guy there.
Both of these male avatars had been at SL for some time and had to know this was not a place for them to be, besides seeing the big sign that says so.
Is there any way to contact the people who own this store to let them know what is going on? One of these male avatars was actually in my dressing room while I was changing.
I know mistakes happen at SL but, when a person knowingly is someplace they should not be then something needs to be done.

IM or notecard, just like anybody else.

Unless the store has some staff on hand to act as security as far as I know there isnt any security orb that will detect if a Avatar is Male of Female.
I work as Hostess in a all female night club and we get at least one male showing up each night on the landing pad, but I will say we have had very very few greifers that we have to kick and or ban.
95% of the guys are very polite and TP out right away when asked, and often apologize in IM's for thier mistake.

But that brings up a good point...
IF, upon finding the place to be female only, the avatar morphs into a female shape...is there still a problem? /me ducks.

I can't see that there would be. Just like many places that don't allow kid avies (like a club I frequent that is not that risque) are happy if the kid grows up real fast..

A guy friend of mine who is not a noob didn't realize that there were women only places around SL. He ended up at the Changing Room one day and walked right past the Women Only signs without even looking at what they said. Some people mean no harm. They're just inworld looking around. Mentioning what's going on politely usually works.

If the only warning is some texture signs, it's also possible that the occasional male visitor is not ignoring the 'women only' signs -- maybe all he saw were big grey rectangles that he walked past. Sometimes textures can take a crazy-long time to load.
Some women-only places I have been, use a TP point with a greeter thingy so as soon as you arrive, you get an IM welcome that informs of the rules etc.

During my extensive explorations of SL, I once ended up on an island that I later realised was a men-only location. Anyway I'd had a chat with a small group of friendly men and only discovered I shouldn't have been there after leaving and reading the landmark details!

this happens at a wonderful for ladies only place I go to to..the security is tight there and they are usually banned within 5 min, However sometimes there is no one on so I see the women corner the male avatars and once one went so far as to bring out his baseball bat and pretend to beat on the girls!!
Curiosity mostly drawn these morons in, and I say morons because omg all they "have" to do is wear a femme avatar and bang they are in no problem..
Me and a few friends like to sit in theis particular place and watch and pick out hte guys in drag.. its funny I dont know what they expect when they come but its not what they get...

I wonder...is there *really* no problem? Your second paragraph implies that you target those you think are RL guys, and then treat them differently than those you don't tag that way.

At the club I work at no one does that (at least openly) we have some openly TG and TS regulars and if you show up with a female avatar with a "Im a dude" profile no one will hassle you.
Isnt worth it to screen everyone like some clubs seem to do.
Seems like in SL everyone is worried...
Straight guys are worries that the girl they are dancing with is a gay guy Straight women worry that they guy they are with is a butch lesbian Gay guys worry that the guy they are with is a straight female Lesbians are worried that the girl they are with is a straight guy.
Bi people are the happiest I find in SL... after all .. no matter what the RL sex of thier partner is .. they win!

Bi people are the happiest I find in SL... after all .. no matter what the RL sex of thier partner is .. they win! A little more on that as i own the club kyllie works that. IT is well known that statisticlly 40% of female avies are male (oraround tht number depending on which statistics you read). That means with every ten avies will be male. Now there are no set statistics about RL males who are TG or who are stright guys RPing, but I would guess at about 1/2 and 1/2 to be honest. Many all female clubs insist on voice verifying their staff to be female, theyboot any guy who ddint reveal their RL sex to the whole world and when theyfinally tell someone they are getting close to they are banned. 1. Voice verifying is NOT a way to find out someone's RL sex. IT is VERY easy to change ones voice over the internet and thereae many programs that do it. My partner and I educated a group at our club a few weeks ago with this. We got voice modulators and made ourselves male. It was extremely easy. 2. We all hide bits and pieces about our RL's for whatever reason. I dont tend to tell everyone i meet about my health and mental issues. I should be taken for who I am not what I am. I am a RL lesbian. So many 'lesbians' scream blue murder upon finding out that an aie they thought was female was male. They ridicule, ortricise and belittle them. They attack them to the point most just strt over with another avie and learn never to reveal their RL gender to anyone. Do I think that people should have to disclose this info?? Well no..... The only time i think it is the right thing to do is when you are becoming intimately and emotionally commected to an avie in here. But then again this is good practise in any relationship.... it is called honesty. Our only requirement at FABGlitter is that your normal avie is a female one. For those that morph between male and female normally in SL (and didnt just change JUST to get in) then we chat to them but normally have them happily come and hang out at FAB. Really it is none of my business what someone's RL gender is except for the woman im in a relationship with and we have verified that beyond SL, computers etc

I have seen a few male avs hanging around in Alady too. I just grab demos of everything and go home and try them on but I does kind of make you wonder how hard up a guy has to be to hang around a women's skin shop hoping to catch a glimpse of pixel bewbies

A one way street.
Many of these places are like this because they're lesbian spots and men are restricted and it's ok, right? But do the same to lesbians and gays and keep them out and all of a sudden it's prejudice discrimination.
Shouldn't it be a two-way street? But it's not.

From: Ralektra Breda but I does kind of make you wonder how hard up a guy has to be to hang around a women's skin shop hoping to catch a glimpse of pixel bewbies Just hang around another year or two and you will give up on that "wondering" bit. There are a whole bunch of guys here that are that hard up or worse. They are hard up enough to let their Excite appendages hang out and ask all passing females if they want to fornicate. They are hard up enough that even though they know that the only females that would jump at such a rude/crude offer are female in form only, will still pixel slap with them anyways. They are hard up enough that their only chance of any sexual activity is mas****ting to a virtual image on their computer screens. I could maybe see the gratification of watching a video of RL people, looking at a Playboy magazine or even reading an erotic novel (Anne Rice rocks!!! ), but can't understand this.
