Did I violate the TOS? My sharks may have attacked a Linden.

i did it with the 30 seconds shark egg

as sharks started to pile up, they dragged the sim to it`s knees, the problem lies with them colliding into eachother due to no room as physical

using the 1 minute interval would create the same issue if they rez ontop of eachother, just with temp being 1 minute, it most likely won`t create such an havok

used the 30 sec to to basicly create a barrier against idiots with sharks patrolling the area and attack anyone on sight as nub`s club defense and then stumbled into that issue, with some testing, 8 of the 30sec rezzers stacked, it takes only a couple of cycles befor the sim is renderd useless and does a better job then any so called griefer weapon i`ve seen while looking innocent

dozen of then and i crippled the sim so bad i`ve never seen :p
love the shark attack but the 30second version in the hands of a person wanting to do harm can cripple a sim and most likely it`s shared host sims aswell as the resources needed to handle them goes haywire

tested it on an island and showed some friends the true defenition of a shark attack, their words "WTF?!?!?!" and they introduced me to it :D

maybe just remove the 30 seconds version as that`s asking for problems ;)

"WTF?!?!?!" :D

That is a good point Alicia. I put the 30 second rezzer in there only for use during the initial set up, it is helpful then to have them rezzing more often while you make sure the course set up is good. Perhaps I should make that clear in the instructions and make it self delete after 4 minutes or so. Or just leave it out entirely since it could become a significant problem, maybe set the minimum time to 70 seconds.

ArchTx, your sharks patrol our waters at New Desperation Isle. It's quite funny to be chatting with someone on the pirate ship and suddenly see a bunch of green-text messages that so-and-so is getting mauled by a shark. What were they doing wandering around in the harbor anyway???

P.S. We haven't had any performance issues I could ever attribute to the sharks.

I have a tip that I used for some sculpty surfing waves I am developing, create a listener in the temp shark that listens for a 'die' command. From the rezzer issue the die command right before the new shark is rezzed, if you use the llSay it will only kill any sharks that are near the rezzer.. thus letting the newly rezzed shark swim away.

does this make any sense?
