I've done this in the past. I once found a mainland sim that was disused, with build enabled and I had a sky structure there for some months. Of course, the sim gradually became littered with other junk as more people discovered they could build there. In the end the owner was ready to use the sim themselves and deleted all the junk. That's OK, that's their right and I couldn't complain. My view is that if land, especially a large area, is left 'open build', it's OK to rez stuff there as long as you don't make a mess, but expect it to be gone one day!

About the sliding stuff in - this is called object entry, and you can disable it in Edit Land.

if I'm not mistaken.

I had all land perms disabled to anyone but me, and someone still rezzed several griefing cubes on land that had 0 auto return.

Oh definitely. It's almost humorous in a way, kind of like the equivalent of setting out area rugs over a chain link fence in an abandoned lot. Only, in both cases, it's someone else picking up the tab so that cancels the smiles.

My original "Coonspiracy Store" was like that, with a worn picket fence and a bunch of boxes and prim nails holding the vendors up at funky angles... but on my own land. The whole Coonspiracy area is 'white trash' (or gray stripey trash, I guess), a bunch of raccoons squatting in a trashed out bayou. I've made the store itself a BIT more upscale since... plus I couldn't afford all the prim nails.

He didn't say anything, just TP'd out, another time I left a block of land with build enabled only for one night and came back and found someone had put a dozen cars out for sale set out like a car yard, soe people must just go searching for other peoples land to do this on I suspect.

Seen that all over when i did "the long haul." Anyplace this person could toss those 'botted cars up with a price tag. :-/
