There was more to it than that. I don't all the details, but he had to throw in the towel because of extenuating circumstances causes by some posters who went way overboard. _____________________

A good number of the SC moderators...  Unfortunately Strife, an relatively unmoderated board will always suffer with tards making legal threats and abusing the DMCA by sending their ISP take-down notices. I understand that's not what happened this time but you know what it's like.  _____________________

SC didn't have any moderators... It was the whole point of the place I'm pretty sure there were people granted moderation powers. I think their main job was to delete spam but as you point out it was definitely not to keep things moderate. _____________________
